Emerging mysteriously over the horizon, a new satellite surfaces with Freedo Mosho's sultry Edit of Paul (AR) & Anunnakis' collaborative single, Ancient Moon. Originally released on Selador as a part of The Selador Showcase - The Seventeenth Instalment, the hypnotic dancefloor roller sheds over to a dusky shade under the sonic guidance of the Argentine maestro.

Riding slick, Freedo Mosho's take on Ancient Moon builds patiently in the shadows as it rolls over the back of a delectable percussive line and an irresistible stabbed bassline. Moving with aplomb, FM takes us deep inside a heady and hazy picture where the midnight fog rises, providing a dense and lush backdrop before revealing a time-stopping breakdown where the ancient secrets blossom in a tantalizing manner as they come together for a rousing second act, drifting into the new night with each passing beat.

Returning to the European electronic music capital once more for its annual gathering, Mango Alley celebrates another Amsterdam Dance Event with the 8th incarnation of its exclusive compilation. A creative aesthetic blossoms in a city renowned for its artistic heritage where an intricate tapestry of art and music blends into a glorious collective assembly. From Grachtengordel to De Wallen and Prinsenelland to Jordaan, a global gathering of artists reunite and forge new friendships under dance music's all-inclusive banner.

Through 22 tracks of innovation and passion, a wonderful world of unity creates a dynamic point of view and a new golden age of art. Thumping beats and shimmering melodies bounce off cobbled streets and historic facades while a network of canals tell their own history in a city imbued with music old and new. Along the Damrak, a kaleidoscopic array or clubs vie for attention in a mesmerising display of sonic brilliance. Moving towards the stars and an inky black night sky, temporary feelings of tension and worry are unburdened in the Amsterdam nightlife, evaporating into the ether on the rising refrains of low-end vibrancy and rippling musical waves. HYUNJI-A Road Trip To Andromeda

Cid Inc's Replug Records opens the fall season by welcoming Kostya Outta to the label for his debut single. Born and raised in Belarus but now based in Poland, Kostya Outta first emerged just over a decade ago. On the success of early tracks such as 'High Flyers' and 'Silence', Kostya's groovy melodic sound was born, making him a new breed of progressive house producers to watch going forward. A continued evolution in sound across the last three years has seen the Belarusian artist rise into one of the genre's most in demand talents. World class DJs Eelke Kleijn, Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, among others, have been steadfast supporters along the way, while releases via Afterglow, Deepwibe Underground and Mango Alley have been discography highlights. Now, following a well-received debut on Dmitry Molosh's Proportion imprint, Kostya adds Replug to his resume with ‘Space', alongside a remix from Mike Griego.

The charming original mix crashes in and sets any preconceived ideas of Kostya's music alight; forecasting jet force propulsions with layers of cleverly co-axed percussion, and alluring signal bending synths. Cruising effortlessly across the first movement, its rapid-fire sequences of rhythm, granular textures and rejuvenating themes emerge in sequential fashion, travelling to the very edges of a colourful progressive hinterland. Fully realized across a timely break, Kostya's trance-inducing melodies and soaring overlays marry beautifully, consciously withholding energy as effects orbit and percussion rides, eventually resulting in a glowing apex and appropriately restrained drop; one which astute dancefloors will certainly appreciate.

The release concludes with Mike Griego returning to the label with the lone interpretation of ‘Space'. Based in Buenos Aires, the Argentinean DJ and producer has carved out a unique place in the electronic underground. His exacting design, addictive grooves and avant-garde melodies have made for a transcendent sound that continues to unify dancefloors around the world. With a career that now approaches fifteen years and one hundred discography credits, Mike would have to be considered one of progressive music's elite artists, earning the praise of genre trendsetters Hernan Cattaneo, Lee Burridge and Nick Warren, among others. A meticulous discography reflects his choosy nature; with Replug and Sudbeat serving as the primary landing spots for his musical output. 2023 has seen further successes for Mike, with the launch of his ‘A Line In The Sand' imprint being flanked by standout projects for Sudbeat and Tale & Tone. Continuing what has been a prolific year, Mike now makes a welcome return to Replug with a titanic take on ‘Space'. Taking square aim at the dancefloor, Mike's creative attitude reveals itself; stepping decisively on the gas and steering into shadowy transgressions, as grooves pulse and drums roll. Chirpy vocal stabs and dusty claps add to it's capsizing swing, creating tension that eventually gets resolved during the main break, as soaring sonics burst open and oscillate in kaleidoscopic fashion, perfectly setting up a vortex-like crescendo and thunderous finale. It's a riveting conclusion to the release, one where Kostya Outta makes an impressive Replug debut, and Mike Griego reaffirms his place as one of the label's most steadfast contributors.

Finishing 2023 on another stratospheric high, GMJ & Matter return to their ever-rising imprint with a twin-track EP of rare quality as they end the year with “Stellaris / Idtritah”.

Over a year that saw a collection of releases cement their reputation in the rarefied atmosphere of the Progressive House movement’s leading lights, GMJ & Matter have seen music featured on Cid Inc.’s Replug, Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music and Alex O’Rion’s newly minted Solis Records throughout 2023. Add to that a set of performances across their native Australia, Europe, and culminating in a spell-binding sold-out label showcase at Amsterdam’s Akhnaton as ADE hit the city for the dance industry’s annual shindig, and it’s not difficult to understand why the Melbourne-based duo are such hot properties.

As label bosses, the duo have overseen the meteoric rise of their Meanwhile imprint since its debut in early 2020. A regular fixture in the Beatport Progressive House Top 10 charts, Meanwhile has been the purveyor of outstanding underground dance music with a roster of artists including Jamie Stevens, Alex O’Rion and Simos Tagias. Now returning to their label with another pair of original offerings, “Stellaris” is a gorgeous free-flowing offering that immediately hits its stride with powerful beat, percussive intrigue and hallmark hi-hat urgency. Full of depth and delight, a sub-bassline hypnotises before an immaculately cadenced synth motif is woven into the rhythmic foundation with the precision of a master seamstress. A flowing and atmospheric new melody adds depth at the breakdown and continues into the head-shaking third movement accompanied by an array of white-noise risers. The result is another instant GMJ & Matter classic.

Continuing the deep, driving narrative of its partner track, “Idtritah” mesmerises with an immaculately constructed groove of rolling top-line hats and percussion, while a staccato bassline adds further gravitas. A cascading combination of melodies trip across each other with ease as a warm blanket of melodic flow and smooth delays envelops the listener, culminating a beautifully textured and ethereal mid-point break. A new plucked phrasing enters the fray in the second half to magical effect with the addition of subtle vocal textures and exquisitely placed effects creating another superb track that sits perfectly within the GMJ & Matter canon.

Ending the year as they began, GMJ & Matter shoot for the stars once more with “Stellaris / Idtritah”.

Kamilo Sanclemente joins Dabeat for his new EP - Decode.

The Columbian DJ, producer and musician made his debut back in 2008 with ‘Dare to Believe’ on D-Formation’s Beat Freak Recordings, and dare he did! Now signed to an enviable list of high profile imprints including Global Underground, UV and Anjunadeep he’s become one of the most consistent artists out there. Collaborations form a large part of his output; enoying the camaraderie and like-mindedness that working as a team brings to the creative process, long time partners Kamilo Sanclemente and Clubsonica boss Juan Pablo Torrez feature heavily.

Opening with a solo project, ‘Reverie’, Dabeat’s trademark sound is front and centre. Silky smooth and utterly infectious, the rolling percussive beat develops warm pads and far away arps. Dropping some spiky acid midway ups the ante. Later still, more melodics lift the mood alongside some stuttered vocals. Absolute mastery.

Next up, a collaborative effort with Kamilo that boasts latin flair in spades. Building slowly over the opening four minutes, spacey synths and a shuffling percussive underbelly combine magically. Deeply hypnotic, the groove quickly takes control and all you can do is find your space and dance the night away.
