XTR HUMAN stands for Gothic electronic club force with danceability and HD club accessibility. The melding driving EBM and coldwave atmospheres are influenced by the pop hooks of Austrian New Wave legend Falco. Berlin based producer Johannes Stabel started the project in 2012 out of the South German Coldwave scene. His friend Luca Gillian (Die Selektion) is guest vocal on the single LEBEN OHNE LICHT. G.O.L.D finds the German producer evolving as much as the rest of the world has had to. Taking his political and socially conscious lyrics into his native tongue brings a deeper and more powerful thrust to their weight.

The ten songs of the album delve into Stabel’s own experiences as a German, from explorations of the Deutsch mentality of persistent fear to tackling the fake news, jingoism, racists and coronavirus deniers on hypnotic bangers ‘Dark Germany’ and ‘Dieser Klang’; issues just as prevalent in Germany as in the USA and UK. G.O.L.D will be released by the new Berlin based label Braid Records - a source for the finest EBM, Synth, and Wave.

Dez Williams' second Woodwork outing further frames his imaginative productions within a wide conceptual space encompassing several styles of deep electronic underground music. Expressive noisy synth riffs and soaked stabs lace their way through a series of jams which pull equally from modern and vintage varieties of techno, acid, house and electro. The resulting sound and feeling averts description or definition, yet there remains an absolute sense of lineage and vague familiarity in the midst of this set of explorative works. 

From the quirky acid bass and melodic bleeps of the title track, 'hexentrik', through dub meditations invoked by 'screenshot', with the raw machine sound of 'formit' and enlightened pattern play central to 'nowtt', the EP winds its way toward the eastern pentatonic 'ohaguro' and the dramatic interstellar acid, electro-techno afterburner 'entangled data banks'. This collection offers up several mix-ready individual flavours that also serve an engaging chronicle heard start to finish.

A white hot set on the web-only Gonerfest 17 was greeted with cheers of joy, and ultimately re-issued as a cassette and LP. They made it over in full three-dimensional form for Gonerfest 19 and a completely unhinged US tour in 2022. Now Goner is proud to unleash their new album -- Goodnight Neanderthal -- ten blasts of the spazzy lo-fi attack you know and love, full of buzzy guitars, cheap synths and earworm hooks that demand to be sung in the shower.
