There’s not really a short or concise way to introduce Reptant (@reptant_the_lizard) (formerly Lou Karsh). One of Australia’s finest, most talented, and most dedicated exports. Apart from running his own top tier label,  LKR (@lkrrecords) , Lucas has been releasing music under various aliases for 5+ years now, on incredible labels including Kalahari Oyster Cult and Furthur Electronix. It's been incredible to watch his sound grow and evolve. Somehow always something new and exciting, but always classy and refined. we were so lucky to have him close out the event, especially before he jets off on a huge Europe tour very soon. Pure minimal electro class from beginning to end, filled with forthcoming Reptant bangers and beyond. 

Not only are you a dear friend, but we are so proud of you and we love you so much Lucas!

Stepping up for the latest entry in our Truancy Volume series is Gabriola, a much-cherished spiritual resonator of all things euphoria. A true purveyor of trance and progressive bliss, Gabriola possesses an uncanny knack for unearthing the most elevated and transcendent gems. Their long-running Midnight Vapour Trail show on NTS—now an impressive 82 episodes deep, each an epic two-hour voyage—serves as both a testament to their encyclopedic knowledge and an invitation to immerse in the golden age of trance. As co-head of the London-based label Magicwire, Gabriola continues to amplify their vision, releasing a cascade of their own radiant, trance-inflected productions while curating boundary-pushing projects. Notably, bringing the legendary John Beltran's Placid Angles alias back into the spotlight, releasing a stunning follow-up to his seminal 1997  album in 2019 with First Blue Sky. Gabriola’s Truancy Volume encapsulates the world and Silver Surfer-styled avatar they've so vividly created—a thrilling journey through driving big-room basslines, soaring synths, and jacking kickdrums. Gabriola

Truancy Volume 339: Gabriola

@noizar's sound goes far beyond conventional house or techno. The Ukrainian DJ, who is now based in Amsterdam, has long since proven this with countless closing sets as resident at Kyiv’s legendary Closer club. It was there where he stood out for unearthing minimal techno treasures in places no one else looks. As such, you can always be sure that wherever Noizar mixes crop up online, they will be flooded with cheeky "ID?" requests, and quite often you will find they come on his vinyl-only Wicked Bass label.

For his Dekmantel Mix he offers a perfect snapshot of what he does in the booth: carefully dug out delights that don't really fit in usual categories. But they do tap into a specific deepness and groove that is rooted in Kyiv's minimal scene and the dance floor of Closer club. It results in a tight, taught hour of body music that perfectly balances function and form.

S.O.N.S is the mysterious man behind DIM320. French but living in Seoul for over ten years, Timothée has long been somewhat of an enigma in the scene's fast, trance-tinged wilderness, releasing a stretch of understated 12"s, using different aliases (Prophecy 47, Dj Jacuzziy..) When he's not making or spinning records, you'll find the Ring Club resident selling them behind the counter at Junction, the excellent store he owns in Seoul which has also recently begun life as a label, Junction Forest. 

Known for impeccable mixing technique and taste, both shine bright during this 80-minute dive into his bag. Strap in and get ready for his Dimensions debut this summer.

To celebrate 6 years of Passing Notes and International Women’s Day just passed, I enlisted the help of Berlin-based Syrian DJ, curator and goddess Zeynep. Zeynep’s voice is no stranger to Passing Notes, she joined me live in the studio with the Harmony Rec crew for episode 256 back in February 2024. Today, she returns in sonic form from afar, to showcase her fervent musical voice.

A dynamic selector who strikes a captivating balance between smooth lusciousness and unruly bodaciousness, Zeynep’s performances are impassioned trips through deeply dug mesmeric trance, seductive prog, and ecstasy-inducing rare gems - an intoxicating signature that has earned her a residency at Prague’s Harmony Rec. Her sound fosters an undeniable connection to the primal, collective joy of the rave, igniting spaces with a femme-forward intensity that resonates with those who crave liberation, pleasure, and transcendence.

Beyond the decks, Zeynep is also a passionate curator and community builder, committed to shaping electronic music culture in meaningful ways. Her deep involvement with Harmony Rec. reflects her dedication to fostering heartfelt connections within the underground music scene, ensuring that the spaces she plays in aren’t just dancefloors but homes for those who find freedom in the music.

"It’s an honour to be involved. So many of my biggest production influences have been on this mix in the past so yeah great to be involved. The energy. Throughout this mix I wanted to keep things deep, rolling and groovy. I get things started with a tonne of my fav 90’s and 2000’s prog and then move into some newer sounds toward the end. Included of course my own track ‘Dream Realm’. Which dropped on Ryugu Records on the 18th of July. This mix i’d say is perfect to stick on at the afters or getting yourself ready for the night ahead. "


We're thrilled to be joined by the Belfast-born @aikamalmusic — a powerhouse producer, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and fierce entity behind the decks. Renowned for her striking fusion of tech-house and progressive trance, she’s been steadily carving out her place, playing alongside the likes of Peach, Spray and Chris Stussy and recently performing her debut Boiler Room at Belfast’s AVA festival, plus having self-released her debut track earlier this Summer. We’re stoked to have her on for our 77th edition in the series.
