Dedicated to garage house sounds, Reptile Mob is the brand-new vinyl sub-label of renowned imprint GLBDOM. Various Artists 'REPWIND 001' is the first offering from the label, featuring five bussin jams!

Tight, choppy vocals, chord stabs and a timeless beat get the VA off to a flying start! 'Dont Know It' by Highrise is a tune perfectly showcasing the production aesthetic of late 90s garage. Up next is Sky Joose with 'On The Shores', a brooding yet soulful entry into the compilation, oozing with funky keys, organs and a bassline that hits as hard as the track’s full throttle beat. Flipping over onto the B side we find Johnny U-Tah who drops some classic re-pitched and time-stretched vocal business with 'Voices In My Head': a fantastic, high energy interpretation of the genre. Rolling up next is 'Melatron' by The Thunderkats, a bumpy, full-on piano infused number bringing solid garage vibes from start to finish. Completing the VA is Jay Ward and 'Everything That I Need', a sublimely executed track bristling with luscious vocals, an infectious beat and bassline to match. Get involved!

We are pleased to announce the launch of our REPCAST mix series where we have asked our favorite producers, friends and guests to supply their sound and vibes for your listening pleasure.

We kick start the series with @jaywardbeats from Birmingham, known for his underground and bumpy style. His expert blend of deep vibes and bumpy beats have been extremely well received both digitally and on vinyl. He has released outstanding EP’s on labels such as Fresh Milk Records, Strictly House And Garage, Rhythm Vibe, Point Blank Records, Practical Rhythms and many others. 

Jay is also 1/2 of the  Dubplate Pressure duo with @asonard, which have been lighting up the underground with their sensational and authentic productions, offering a fresh and deeply impressive take on UKG.

Reptile Mob is an all-new sub-label from the revered GLBDOM that is focussed on Garage House and Bassline. Its first drop was a killer and now this second outing is a Various Artists collection featuring six standout and bass-heavy jams. It's garage on the A-side and speed garage on the B-side so choose your weapon: Groovy D's 'Outta My Mind' is a sweet shuffler drenched in soul, there's grit in the grooves of 'Ganja Sensation' (U-Tah vocal dub) and Highrise layers up the 2-step sounds. Full-on nawtiness defines the olds school sirens and slamming bass of the reverse side. Get stuck in with gun fingers at the ready!

The second mix for our REPCAST series was prepared by Jason Ward aka Conspiracy Dubz aka DJ Progress aka Positive Aura, real king of dubplates. 
Vinyl enthusiast & DJ, worked at Birmingham Record Agency and Hard To Find Records back in the day, cherry picking collections and rooting through distributor warehouses. Passionate about Underground Garage regardless of the era. 

After a run of extremely successful dub cuts, he recently found critical acclaim with his 'Custard Factory' and 'Old Crown Trax' EPs on Digbeth Records. You can also hear his tracks on such labels as DNR Allstars by DNR Vinyl, First Tower Records and Rhythm'N'Vibe.

Reptile Mob is back with a third part of its superb on going compilation series and this one looks at different aspects of the garage house sound. Side a-begins with some fresh four-four grooves no least the opener from the legend that is Perception with Andy G and S.R.'s dubby 'Let's Go' remix. Conspiracy Dubz keeps it bumping with the old school feels of 'Musical Rush' and on the B-side it is more of a 2-step sound that emerges with jazzy melodies and female vocals. Groovy D's 'Another Chance' is the real standout for us with its classic vocal sample worked into a nice kinetic rhythm.

Masterplan is London-based but so far prefers to keep a low profile and let the music do his bidding. It's raw and pure underground garage in the case of this first one for brand new label Reptile Mob. 'Living' has it all - a soulful r&b vocal that tugs at the heart, some muted sax stabs and nice fat bass to get the floor bumping. 'Concode' is a chopped up groove with scraping hits and malfunctioning synth sequences adding colour and 'Ruff N Ready' keeps it deep and direct. 'Above The Law' and 'Deeper' round out with more sure to be effective and popular garage kickers. On this evidence, this will be a label to watch for garage heads.
