Hurlee’s ‘Favourite Jazz’ ranks very high amongst the discerning public’s best loved tracks on Suol and we are very happy to have him back with a brand new release.
The ‘Dubby Feelings’ EP is a two-tracker that showcases the latest step in the evolution of the Spaniard’s deep-yet-bouncy House style.
First up is ‘OP Bass’, which builds on a solid foundation of classic drum machines and rolling percussion. A catchy little vocal cut kicks off an infectious bass line that is joined by subtle chord stabs before Hurlee seriously turns up the glory with soaring pads that will float you through this groover with a big smile on your face.
‘Frankie Here’ takes us on a journey through shimmering crystal caves. Synth chords with heavy dub delays sparkle left and right as we use the solid groove to guide our steps and we just know we can’t go wrong.

As we Begin a fresh new year we thought it was a great opportunity to share some of the fresh talent that we’ve been working with behind the scenes at Reptile Dysfunction with our 2022 Incubator EP.

STE GUTHRIE

Guthrie started out at an early age digging through his Mothers record collection, which planted the seed, he then fell in love and started building his music collection.

In his post school explosive years, he found the Rave and Acid House Scene, shaping his direction into transcendence and experimental frequencies. 

This is when he began to forge his quirky style;  with an ear for different genres.

His quirky style and after party mixes eventually lead him to being offered residencies and gigs at a number of Clubs and Nights and has played alongside Steve Lawler, Scratch Perverts, Derrick Carter, Faithless, Layo & Bushwacka, James Zabiela and many more.
Guthrie has created his own parties and has always been on hand to help out to a vast array of others, Future and Push respectively. This is where he booked many of his musical muses and successfully hosted them at his parties, drawing large crowds and peaking in attendance during the booking of Faithless in One of the largest UK clubs at the time, the legendary Tall Trees.

Playing at Back to Basics on a few occasions, Sleazville @Manumission Ibiza, Ministry of Sound to name just a few.
Releases and choice cuts on labels such as Nic Fanciulli’s label Saved Records, Luke Pompey’s Love not Money and on Bullet Dodge receiving good responses, with more studio time planned for 2022, we will be following him closely.

He draws his other influences from the house sounds of New York, legends such as Danny Tenaglia and Larry Levan with their love of crossing genres and taking risks, not one for a stagnant groove during his sets he likes to make people dance, smile and sample a quirky side of house music.
