Returning to MTA Records this September, the hotly-tipped Josh Butler delivers a 2 track release of robust House to follow up on his acclaimed 'Got A Feeling' from earlier this year.

With a recent remix of MTA founders, Chase & Status, latest single currently doing damage across dance floors, and a string of key DJ dates which include Secret Garden Party, Gottwood and SubSoul (Ibiza), 'Closer' drops in the midst of a busy summer for the rising Leeds based artist.

'Closer' sees Butler explore a driving house aesthetic built around an infectious groove that stems from on-point drum programming and well balanced sonics. Techy in approach but retaining a melodic edge thanks to a subtly pitched male vocal, 'Closer' is ammunition for DJs across the House spectrum. 

An artist at the forefront House Music's new wave, who already counts Maya Jane Coles, Pete Tong, B.Traits, Annie Mac, Mistajam and Waze & Odyssey as fans, Josh Butler's rise is set to continue.

A rock steady release, aimed squarely at the dance floor, 'Closer' lands late September on MTA Records.

Infectiously groovy, his unique take on Tech House is inspired in equal measures by Ibiza sunrise sessions as it is by twisted after-hours parties in London backrooms. This distinct flavour has earned him widespread recognition within the scene leading to releases on the likes of Lost Recordings, ALiVE, Troupe Records, and VIVa MUSiC.

Previously Latmun’s track ‘Who’s That’ featured on Detlef’s mix for the ‘VIVa Warriors Season 4’ mix compilation where it found support from many heavyweights in the scene and became one of the best selling tracks to be released on VIVa MUSiC in 2015. It is with great pleasure then that we welcome Latmun back, this time to VIVa LIMITED, with a full 6 track EP set to shake dancefloors around the globe from Birmingham to BPM!

The original version of Paul Johnson’s anthem ‘Get Get Down’ was first released in October 1999 as a single from the album,The Groove I Have. The cut topped theBillboard Hot Dance/Club Playchart, peaking for 1 week. Outside the United States the song posed within the top ten of the charts in Belgium, France, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

Here at Moody Recordings we’re proud to be the initial imprint that brought Paul’s masterpiece to the world and this summer, almost 20 years later, we’re just as honored to host several modern interpretations of his work. The 2018 remixes materialize in this 2 part series from some of house music’s newer talent and respected legends alike.

The world-renowned Crosstown Rebels add the third instalment to their annual Spirits compilation, an album which has become established for delivering some of the biggest hits that have been heard in Damian Lazarus’ sets over the past year, from some of the most esteemed artists in electronic music. Let your mind become absorbed in this collection of diverse and exciting tracks.

The man himself Damian Lazarus opens the release, setting the tone with the haunting hypnosis of Ergot which contains snippets of an ancient Chilean revolution song, relevant to the current political climate. Next up Guti & Fosky collaborate once again in fine style to produce a smoky, late-night atmosphere, with the moody bassline and expertly crafted beat of Da Drumz. Side B and legendary producer Martin Buttrich combines driving tripped out rhythms with warm surging pads, creating a great musical tonic during Slow Down.
