The latest full-length album from Memphis-based producer and musician DAMAGR, titled ‘REVIVER’, builds on his past works in the downtempo ambient-techno space while exploring new melodic and percussive textures that invites the listener to look closer. Built around the classic 303 sound and the Elektron Syntakt’s melodic and percussive textures, this album weaves a hidden language of symmetry and reflection that hints at deeper musical and historical cycles.

DAMAGR - Subterfuge

This track is very special for me, it was originally created in 2007 and since then from time to time I was thinking about remaking and remastering it. Finally, I did it this year and will include in my fifth album. Most instruments were changed and effects added, though the main melody is almost intact. 

The title changed from "Galaxy" to "Galaxies" to differentiate from the original one, which you can hear on my YouTube channel, the only place I still keep my "oldies".

When we cease to consider the mind as this or that particular mind but as all-mind; when we cease to consider thought as this thought or that but as the common power which makes thinking possible; and when we cease to consider this or that idea as such but as pure idea, we apprehend the absolute existence through profound insight. Insight, at this stage, has no particular object to be conscious of. In this sense it is a void. It is really a kind of self-contemplation. But this self is not finite and individual, it is cosmic and infinite..."
