Written for the Shoah. This is was not mastered.SoundCloud masstered but you can sti;; hear mistakes. It is live time sketch of my idea. I found out I am a Jew as an adult. I was adopted and did not know it until I was an adult. 
Those who know me well,  know why I wrote this. I talked to Holocaust survivors and asked them what do you want in tribute? Many said not pictures of the concentration camps. Maybe, hope in their living on after living horrific nightmare. I wrote this. 
To accompany the piece, the concept -photos -what they had saved, the people they were before and their photos after the Holocaust. 
You can see it in their eyes
The tempo then changes towards the end to 3/4 waltz and shifts a major key. Photo of their children and grandchildren. Life. Hope.
They lived. But at the end, we must never forget. 
It was an profound honor to write this piece.
