"Secret Police" uses a few nice samples from the early days of the electro beat era spiced with some Italo disco memories in which the obligatory police siren can't be absent. A perfectly round nostalgic house track. "Passion is my Fashion" wafts darkly, gloomy and thriving/ funky through the club dungeons while dark vocals dissolved in sphere, lead to a sound orgasm to make heads bounce! Dear friends of the Berlin/ Zurich night... Bring it on!

Brain Waves debuts on Quatorze with Velvet Loop, a deep and trippy EP featuring two original cuts Velvet Loop and Soft Pulse. Rich in emotion and experimental flair, both tracks reflect his signature hypnotic style. Victor Crain - Changeling (St.Ego Remix) [Kodai]

UK producer Apollo 84 returns to Roush in July as he delivers his latest 3 track EP ‘Human Machines’. With releases on the likes of Elrow, VIVa and Lost Records, plus remixes for Hauswerks, Mirco Caruso and more since making his production debut back in 2013, London based DJ / producer Apollo 84 has quickly established himself amongst the latest crop of rising producers, whilst holding down regular appearances at London’s Lightbox/Fire venues. Having previously contributed to the labels latest ‘Not Ordinary’ sampler in January, here we see the Twisted Fusion boss back to deliver an energetic three track offering to mark his first full EP on the imprint. Title cut ‘Human Machines’ quickly unveils a rolling percussive groove accented by choppy vocal hooks and a commanding top line, before ‘Energize’ takes clues from it’s title by to deliver a high tempo, kinetic production armed with shuffling drum licks and robotic vocals. Last up, ‘Privy’ changes up the dynamic of the EP as organic percussion loops are paired with spiraling effects and bumping sub bass to punctuate the package.
Apollo 84 ‘Human Machines’ is out on Roush on 9th July 2018.

Producer, engineer and DJ extraordinaire Reset Robot is the alias of Dave Robertson, an accomplished artist based in Portsmouth on the south coast of the UK. Since launching the pseudonym in 2009 he has traveled the globe, DJing at many of the world’s most influential clubs and festivals, as well as rolling out a slew of well-received productions on labels such as Drumcode, Mobilee, Hotflush and his own platform Whistleblower Records. 

As a DJ Reset Robot’s unassuming approach belies his magnetic appeal and innate ability to craft sets that are polished, enthralling and full of shadowy allure. A self-confessed studio hound, he spends all day, every day at the controls, allowing creativity to flow out of him and refining his skills. Two decades of experience feed into his output, and he prefers to keep things uncomplicated in the studio. The resultant sound is his signature; brooding, sombre, yet accessible and contagious. 

Reset Robot’s visceral rhythms infect your subconscious urging you to dance, while captivating motifs and riffs stay with you long after the rave has ended; earworms of the highest order.
