“The relationship between Pulshar and Rod Modell goes back to 2008, when Echospace (Rod & Stephen Hitchell) remixed Nospheratu, a track included in the album Brotherhood (Phonobox, 2008).

This release would go on to foster a friendship that went beyond just music. When Rod travelled to Barcelona, he’d always catch up with Pablo and Sergio to chat and walk around the Raval, making the obligatory stop in Bismilla Kebabish of Joaquín Costa. During these visits, the idea to work on more than just remixes together came up. The collaboration birthed Undercover, a conceptual EP of 5 tracks (digital release) and 3 on vinyl. One song, 5 covers.

Undercover speaks to sound’s affect on emotions. Like waves in the ocean, each unique track comes from the same source. From the strongest and most powerful waves of a storm to the quiet and gentle tides, this is forty-seven minutes of pure pleasure. The feeling of this release is abyssal, dark and very organic, and it takes you on a very special underwater journey aboard Verne´s “Nautilus.”

A new collection of otherworldly transmissions from Deepchord’s laboratory. With "Ultraviolet Music", Deepchord returns to his proprietary formula of atmospheric heroin-house (after 2013's more cinematic "20 Electrostatic Soundfields"). A hallucinogenic amalgamation of deep emotive textures swimming around 4/4 kicks and sub-bass, middle of the night atmospheres, hypnotic repetitions, shortwave static and slowly evolving textures that envelop the listener in warm blankets of sound. Equally effective on a dance floor as it is in one's private space. Multi-dimensional sounds that move the mind and the feet. Numerous (processed) acoustic and organic sound sources make these tracks seem alive in a way that is uncommon in electronic music today. They are breathing life-forms that reveal their subtle layers with repeated listenings. It’s music that's influenced equally by 1980's experimental, 1990's ambient, Detroit techno, deep house, and Berlin school, creating something entirely unique in the process. Rainer Trueby’s brand new 3 solo single! After releasing his smashing solo debut on Compost Black Label (Livin In The Music / Es Lo Que Pasa / Hirtenruf) and doing “Schoko Bolla”, an all-night jam session (and an amazing free download and gift for all fans out there) he is back again teaming up with Danilo Plessow (Motor City Drum Ensemble). Funny, both Motor City Drum Ensemble and Rainer Trueby (as Trueby Trio - together with Roland Appel and Christian Prommer) have compiled a DJ Kicks.  
 
With its perfectly chosen post garage appeal „Jeck“ sets you in the mood for doing nearly everything and honours the slower, more subtly grooves in a very significant way. Reminds a bit to the early Nineties Nu-Groove Sound from NYC. Especially when the bombastic kick combines with the more jazzy, laid back keys. 
And when you realize that Trueby speaks (and sings) all of his vocals himself, you know that there’s the whole package! The record contains a further track “Welcome To Our World”, which is as moody as hell! Sit back and relax! Last but not least the 12inch includes a kick-ass Marcus Worgull’s remix.  
Marcus Worgull is one of the top addresses for deep house releases on labels like Sonar Kollektiv, Dixon and Amé ́s Innervisions and remixes like Farside Records, Running Back, Lovemonk or DFA.  
 
Rainer Trueby was born in Stuttgart on 20.08.1971. He was raised in the Neckardelta, a prosperous economic region along the river Neckar. He is catholic and goes to church on christmas. His first DJ experience was in an old people’s home (Arbeiterwohlfahrt) in Stuttgart in 1990 where Rainer was the host of tuesday 
afternoon’s teadance, developping a feeling how to rock an elderly but open-minded crowd (65+) with classics like "Es gibt kein Bier auf Hawaii". After having that DJing experience, Ali & Basti Tiefschwarz gave Rainer a sunday night residency @ their ON-U club in Stuttgart where the motto was "all things nice" ranging from Soul 
Funk Jazz to Hip Hop and Talkin Loud stuff. In 1993 Rainer met Compost head honcho Michael Reinboth. 
After some 12"s with A Forest Mighty Black and some compilations ("Glücklich") he teamed up with Christian Prommer and Roland Appel to form the Trueby Trio. Some 12s, one album ("Elevator Music"), one remix album ("Retreated") and numerous remixes followed. His club residency Root Down @ Waldsee / Freiburg is 15 years old now. He likes to play chess with Michael Reinboth. He likes a glass of wine as well. A decent meal too.

On his debut solo LP ‘Utility’, Barker [@voltek] turns his focus toward melding experimentation and dancefloor pragmatism with the psychology behind the musical decision making process.

‘Utility’ is a playful but non-ironic musical approach to a whole spectrum of utilitarian and transhumanist ideas: from models for quantifying pleasure and “gradients of bliss” to abolishing suffering for sentient beings (not just people) through the ethical use of drugs and nanotechnology. Over nine tracks, Barker’s vision ebbs and flows through waves of deeply psychedelic musical vignettes; free-floating and futuristic melodies and rhythms as targeted brain stimulation.
