A stellar rendering of Kamod on the Sarode by Maestro Radhika Mohan Maitra (1917-1981). This recording was made ca. 1961 for All India Radio's National Programme of Music. The original tape recording was made by Prof. Kalyan Mukherjea from the AM broadcast and the (dilapidated) tape was digitized by Dr. Mandar Mitra of the Indian Statistical Institute, Calcutta who was kind enough to share it with us. 

The tabla accompanist on this recording is Maestro Shyamal Bose.
