"My favorite set that we played this year at Burning Man was at Robot Heart. It was probably the only set that I really prepared for with Walshy Fire.

I'll be honest I was a lil nervous because I really wanted to make it run with energy for the full two hours and our typical audience isn't that used to a classic dub and reggae set. Myself and the whole RH crew wanted to create something really special for a sunset party and keep it true to the theme but to still feel like a Robot Heart set. The Robot Heart crew had told me that they wanted and entire set that sounded like "Major Lazer - Get Free" and I had to think hard about it. To keep the vibe going for two hours and for that record to be the climax was a challenge but I realized if you stick to your guns for the whole party and steer the audience in a direction and keep them with you, then anything is possible.  I hope you love it.. It's perfect for a party on a Sunday afternoon and represents a different side of Major Lazer"

That time of the year....AfrikaBurn.....and yes it was another one on fire again. I felt ALIVE this AfrikaBurn. And the set you find here is the set I played on Thursday afternoon, sunset at Camp Now. Playing on the playa, dancing people around me, beautifully dressed up and feeling the freedom and their own soul and emotions. It was another privilege to play for all of these people again. Thanks as well to Bubbles & Bass and The Golden Calf for bringing so many beautiful experiences during my live sets there! And of course a big thanks to my AfrikaBurn Dino family!

Next Nous'klaer Radio by two close friends: Jetti & Post. I can't stress enough how lucky we've been in Rotterdam with these two. Besides tirelessly running @bar-rotterdam (our favourite club), they've transformed the local nightlife into a warm and welcoming place for many over the past 8 years - always thinking about the bigger picture, always helping others out. Over the past couple of years they started DJing together and quickly became a staple in the Dutch clubscene, and became two of the most fun DJs to go to. Big thanks to both for this wonderful mix!

I recorded this mix without a particular structure in mind, but once I got going it started to get percussive and super uplifting.  I always find I enjoy myself when I don’t plan mixes, and my subconscious mind does the work for me.

The mix ended up having the type of songs I would play out, and the vibe reminds me of when I played in Belfast for the Korova lads. That gig in Belfast was a highlight and it had me smiling the whole way back to Dublin. For anyone that wasn’t at that gig, this is what you missed!
