From afro-tinged house to stripped back rollers, Fred P is a name synonymous with high grade music that is made to stand the test of time. With a wealth of musical knowledge at his disposal he wields a number of aliases, but perhaps his most well known moniker is that of Black Jazz Consortium. Robert Owens broke away from home at a very young age to live in Chicago. He shared rooms with Frankie Knuckles and used to DJ from the late 1970s, long before his singing career started. In Chicago he got world famous as the lead singer of Fingers Inc., but still DJed every now and then. He never stopped, lived in New York and London during his 1990s solo success and still sings and lives the DJ live now - in Berlin. One of the real true legends of House Music!
