Where to start with @ancient-methods . . . .

I remember back in 2007 after a trip to Hardwax I came back with several coloured 12's with not a great deal on them bar Ancient Methods and 1st, 2nd & 3rd Method on the labels. Upon listening I was immediately hooked and thought at the time this was the most exciting music I had heard coming out of Berlin for quite a while. Fast forward 2 years and the duo (as they were at the time) were on their way to London to play at our 3rd birthday with a load of other Hardwax related artists. Unfortunately they never got to play that set as a couple of nasty chancer thieves literally stole their laptops off the stage before they performed, never to be seen again. The worst thing about this situation was the fact that they both backed up to each other's laptops for their productions which meant a lot of unreleased WIP music was forever lost that morning. 

Needless to say we felt awful but made it as right as we could by giving the profit we made on the night straight to them (along with their fee of course) and Corsica also chipped in a sizeable donation so they were immediately able to buy replacement laptops but it still wrangles me to this day all that lost AM material.

It was however the start of a very long standing relationship between AM & Plex. Michael (bar residents) was the artist that played the most times at our parties  over the years and it became pretty much an annual tradition from our 5th birthday onwards that you would get an Ancient Methods live, dj or hybrid show. He remains a great friend of ours to this day so it's fantastic to finally get one of his sets from Plex out there.

This set is from our 9th birthday and is a really special 90 min journey. Hope you guys like.

A post-industrial vortex pulled us in, where deep mechanical grooves met tight rhythmic control in a set that was both punishing and hypnotic. The pacing was expertly crafted, grinding tension, explosive peaks, and moments of eerie restraint, all delivered with a raw, analog-driven energy that kept the floor locked in. For the fourth edition of KHIDI Podcast, we invite our resident artist Phase Fatale. Originally from New York, Hayden Payne has moved to Berlin and since 2013 has been at the forefront of industrial techno scene. Over the last few years, he released music on many renowned platforms, such as aufnahme + wiedergabe, Hospital Productions, Jealous God, Unterton among others. In 2018, he co-founded the label BITE, designed to present other artists who operate beyond the borders of the common preconceptions of techno. A collaborative EP between Phase Fatale and Silent Servant kickstarts the label.
In the mix, he once again underlines main influences of the project and does so by using the latest tracks from Ancient Methods, Vatican Shadow, Silent Servant, himself and other flag-bearers of the modern-day industrial scene.
