Since 1991, Tresor has provided a home for artists to develop their ideas for advanced new sounds and broadcast them to the world. The pioneers that first traversed the Detroit-Berlin connection and were at the forefront of a new cultural movement gave to Tresor its original and continuing mission: community, resistance and reshaping the world to come.

The Tresor 30 compilation represents a major landmark in this continuing history of electronic music. This unique collection of music profiles some of the artists that gave the previous three decades of Tresor its sound and foundation, but it also casts its gaze forward. Writing new postcards from the future, this collection brings new artists who maintain a connection to that original mission to the fore, charting ways in which this ethos can continue to build bridges and break walls in the next 30 years.

Bringing together 52 essential tracks - both classics and exclusive commissions - each of the 12 records in this box-set charts a unique line of flight from those artists that helped define the shape of this new music to those who continue to pattern its landscape further.

from my all night at High+Tight this is the wind down, conclusion to an epic set. in this segment, long time followers of my sets will recognize my staple/go-to tracks often used throughout many mixes for collectives and in live gigs. being that this was my first ever dj set in the northwest and Seattle no less, i had to give 100% me so they know how I place my treasured classics. i went to a safe place to play genuinely from the heart after bearing and with holding sad news from all in attendance as i was grieving the loss of a close family member who had passed earlier on the day of the gig. my attitude was the show must go on. creating art was very therapeutic on this evening. there are some drops that could have been performed better but as Kate Bush once sang, Be Kind To My Mistakes. I ask for such forgiveness here given the state of mind i was in. also, the recording stopped so two tracks are missing. life is full of surprises <3 
love to Jess, Cody, Paige, Sharlese and so many beautiful others that I finally had the honor of meeting irl that evening.

@priori-ties mix begins and ends with a gentle embrace, prowling seductively with dub-driven grooves before retreating into the ether like dusk yielding to dawn. Consistently in motion, but never in haste. Don’t miss the lion’s roar. 

The jewelry released with this mix is inspired by Priori’s fascination with labyrinths. Priori feels like mazes and labyrinths were omnipresent in youth literature and movies but hey rarely encounter them in culture these days.

For this set I played on 4 CDJ 3000’s and a V10 mixer, using both of its internal effects processors. For every No Way Back set, and for most sets, I try to prepare new hardware remasters and edits of things that I think would be fascinating recontextualized in this setting. But for NWB, it is even more special, a peak moment, so I try to have new records I’m working on in the studio to test out. For this set that means the hardware mixes I’ve been working on for Torrvo and for Andy Toth can be tested, I’m working on this hardware mixing and remastering tone palate, so I spread that to some edits to give them a whole new power. Playing at No Way Back cannot be put into words, though we try every year, it really is inexplicable without experiencing it. It’s the environment you most want to be in, the space is totally transformed, the sound is dialed in, the audience is so ready, very giving and open, and the feedback you get is incredible. People are up for a ride – we start at the Tangent and end up going to the other side of the universe. Freedom within and without. There’s no place I’d rather be, so I thought I’d share this much sooner than we usually do. Enjoy the ride.

EPM Podcast 129 comes from Detroit electro-techno experimentalists, Ectomorph. Now officially comprised of BMG & Erika they have continued to furrow their own idiosyncratic path through the contemporary electronic landscape. It’s this uncompromising view that now comes into focus with their kaleidoscopic mix. From the pulsating experimentalism of Jed James and r2π, to the tweaked electro of Techmarine Bottom Feeders and Datawave, nuanced techno of Forest Drive West and Mike Parker to the tough industrialism of Rhys Fulber and SHXCXCHCXSH they take us on a pilgrimage to all four pillars of the Techno anti-rule book. With their live shows pushing an improvisational and organic format, this DJ mix sees them tackle the dancefloor with a more direct, pressure building intensity.
