“Welcome to 24 hours with an alien. My name’s Katya, I’m a London based DJ originally from Russia. The idea behind the takeover is that I’m going to be taking you on a day in my UFO, to many different planets each exploring a different genre. We’ll be starting somewhere deep under the Drexciyan sea with an electro set courtesy of Gunfinger Food & Mixtress. We’ll gradually head to space for Dr Watson’s set and make it all the way to Tres-2b, the darkest planet in the universe, for eXpressO’s set. After that we’re gonna start heading back to Earth for sunrise, listening to Jake Walker’s set along the way. We’ll make it to London for a day of UK bass, Garage & Funky. Once we finish up in London, we’ll make our way back to space with Dr Baird, Seven Hills Records, Tañ & Rough. We go back to the dark planet for an industrial techno & electro finish. GV98's influence can be found in all corners of the underground, supplying everything from rare hard to come by gems to bargain bin £5 grabs, there's something for everyone to enjoy on his channel.

Coming in strong for the 31st instalment of our podcast series, we are pleased to welcome, Thoma Bulwer, to the fold.

The Parasol Culture boss will be joining us this Friday night at the Lion & Lamb where he will be digging deep into the vaults for an exclusive House and Garage set. UKH Podcast 031 - Thoma Bulwer

We couldn't think of anyone better to kick off our mix series than the brother sister powerhouse,  Perception and Lady Passion. 
Individually they never miss, so we were keen to see what they'd come up with together. The result is an hour of heaters from start to finish blending through house, garage and some speedier bits.

In the driving  seat for the next mix in our series is the @RinseFM regular Jay Carder. 

The London-based DJ and producer has built a name for herself with her genre-spanning eclectic taste and energetic sets. Jay has an uncanny ability to whip any crowd into a frenzy with anything from Trip-Hop, techno, uk bass, breaks, and jungle. 

Jay’s debut release ‘Eva’s Stoned’ dropped earlier this year on @Kassiansound @FauxPoly label which catapulted her name further, gaining her support from @BBC6music

For this instalment we’re fortunate to have a live recording taken from her set last year at the Lighthouse stage. 
A late night journey through stripped back garage, techno and deep breakbeat cuts. It’s an educational journey and a clear demonstration why Jay is one of the scene’s most sought after DJs.

This mix was recorded at home on two Technics 1210's and an Allan & Heath Xone 23. The selection begins with a handful of breakbeat records then moves into UKG for the main body and finishes with speed garage and 4x4. Many of the tracks are recent digs picked up during the lockdown. Shouts to all the crew.
