Ed Steele delivers an album called 'Killing Time' on D-Nox's consistently superb Sprout imprint.

We are treated here to 4 of the tracks from this album, as a bit of a tease for your DJ sets (remember those?) and reviewing pleasure, for a very lucky few of you.

Ed, originally from Oxford in England, but recently moved to Devon, returns to Sprout, fully armed with a virtual mountain of goodness, so let's start with the music, and we kick off with the very dramatic 'Double Take'. A haunting affair, full of drive and a moody layered soundscape, dark and mysterious, until the break lands where little glimpses of light poke through, before slamming back in to some peak time melodic techno action.

We head a little deeper with 'Savour The Moment', but again are treated to some haunting elements, as this intense monster unfurls its magic, full of drive and some melancholic melodics.

'Killing Time' is a sci-fi inspired bleepy melodic winner, with hints to yesteryear, yet sounding fresh and cutting edge. Big and bold!

Rounding off this sampler, we have 'Aimless. This subtle gem treats us to wonderful key changes, where darkness meets light, as an air of sophistication lingers in the air. A sold dance floor winner.
