This is the mix everyone has been waiting for since the beginning of the series, right? Here it is, want it or not! The first recording by the familiar faces from the shop... DJ Oltermann and KG together in the mix for two and a half hours. 
Successfully recorded live at the 1st edition of CLUB OK at Tanner in Helsinki. The idea of the party js that the boys select records from the shop and each record played will be for sale directly after. Happening every Wednesday night and the entry is free of charge.

Keeping things quite mellow and easy going on that Wednesday a couple weeks back. The evening contained some sweet 80's modern soul, boogie, funk, jazz and disco. The party was a success {hear the cheerful applause at the end} and even one record was sold that night. Can you guess which one? Most of these records are still available in store, so shoot us a comment if interested. 

Club OK is taking place again this Wednesday at Tanner from 21.00 onwards, this week with a downtempo theme.

OK MIX Vol. 24 - DJ OLTERMANN & KG aka OK SOUND

In the first week of September we’re heading to the beautiful scenery of Tisno, Croatia, to celebrate the first edition of Dekmantel Selectors. In the run up to the festival, we’ve launched a new temporary podcast-series where we invite ten of our selectors from the festival to dig deep in their unique collections. The idea behind the mix is to create a Time Document, focusing on a specific period of time with the artist being free in choosing this period. This period could in fact entail anything: a certain decennia, the time he or she fell in love, The Cold War, November ’92 – March ’93, or the rise of Nigerian music. It’s up to the Selectors to choose and tell us a story based on their music collection.

What has been a beautiful ride through many record bags, now comes to an end with the final Selectors Podcast by Manchester-based Andrew Lyster. The NTS-radio host provided us with a finger licking good mix, touching on many electronic gems that have a special connection to him.  "I wanted to stay true to the theme of the mix series, hopefully offering something different to the other selectors whilst also presenting something that’s true to myself."

Lyster is known as the co-founder and designer of the meandyou collective. Over the past years, Lyster has established himself as a DJ in his own right, through hosting the collective's monthly radio show with a string of world class guests and making regular DJ-appearances everywhere. "This corner of my record collection really excites me, so much interesting stuff was happening at this time, many of these tracks are what I’d now consider to be classics of that time. Quite a few older Manchester related things in here too, which are some of my personal favourites. For me this mix was more about recording a segment of my collection as opposed to a proper DJ mix. A lot of this stuff I picked up in the basement of Vinyl Exchange in Manchester; this era and that shop feel very connected to me."
