BULLSEYE's fifth edition is brought to you by Iris (they/she). Based in Montréal, the promoter, DJ, and selector extraordinaire runs Underground Love Affair.

Message from Iris:

This was the first mix I recorded in the New Year. I was really excited by the content and wanted to take some risks with it and push the gear that I was using to its limit. There's a lot of experimentation that went into the mixing like utilizing loops in vinyl mode with the pitch slider as a manual delay for example. 
The mix entirely consists of underground selections from South America. 
A lot are independently released and very few have a vinyl release.
That being said, I wanted to showcase just how good these finds were. 
A lot of time went into researching and curating for this mix and I'm really happy to share what I've discovered.

This mix was a bit of a puzzle to decipher and sadly I couldn't include everything I found. There are a lot of different styles I wanted to include and to make them blend I sometimes relied on the feeling and energy they gave me instead of trying to match them by their musical components.
It was a different and challenging way to mix but I'm very satisfied with the final product and I hope you find the same joy in listening to it that I did in recording it.  

This mix was recorded on 2 cdj 350s and an x-one 23:c mixer.

The cosmic wanderer Noah Lyas drifts through the void, gliding past jagged moons and frozen fire, his voice a whisper of unity in the chaos, preaching that even in the wildest corners of the universe - where stars fracture and realms twist - that all is one, and the one is all. “In embracing profound rhythms, we find harmony within ourselves and with the world around us, we will dance to the eternal song of creation.”, he claims.

Noah grew up in a house where music was the dominating factor. With passionate parents who shared a large record collection with their children and with a father as a musician, early contact with different instruments was made as well as performing arts and writing music. In 2020, his first EP titled “Before the Horizon” was released on Profundo Collective, which was founded with the aim of establishing an own record label and coming together as a collective to share the love for profound music and arts. Since then, his music has also been released on such authentic hubs as Oslated, Indefinite Pitch and Eterea.

The mix delivered is an extensive exploration of the deep, dubby and warm sides of Hypnotic Techno, featuring tracks of Noah Lyas’ himself and befriended artists alike, all mixed in a flawless manner to evoke feelings of a cosmic transport to the breathtaking beauty of the far outs.

Israel is only the executioner, every nation which has armed that country in the past year is an accessory to that genocide, an accomplice, a facilitator.  We cannot talk about war crimes because when you target unarmed civilians, mostly women and children, we are talking about a massacre, like terrorists do, not a war. The people who orchestrated that massacre, in the US, the most duplicitous, followed by those of the UK, Germany, France, and probably a few lesser ones should be tried for crimes against humanity just as well as Netanyahu and his cabinet, because it has been going on for two years, generously reported by media of all kinds, so the enablers knew exactly how the arms were to be used, as a tool for revenge, domination, and humiliation of the Palestinian people.  The conflict has ceased to be about the defense of anything for months.

The parties responsible have made a mockery of decency, morals, fairness, proportion, or justice, not to mention empathy.  Of what little there was, these concepts will be a lot longer to come back than they were to be struck down.

Same phone number, same email addresses, and they still claim that they can't verify my identity.  I created that account about three years ago as a substitute to my regular account which SoundCloud temporarily closed.  They closed it as part of some upgrade procedure in their system, the result of a bug that affected many accounts, about two years ago.  Since SC did not inform its users I didn't know if that was permanent or not, so I created that other account which I can't access. Resilience is a multidisciplinary Parisian collective that focuses on music and video, all of which is always linked to techno.

The project was born by producing video recordings in abandoned places before organizing club events, especially at Nouveau Casino in Paris, where the collective has a regular residency.

Renowned artists such as Deniro, Psyk, Lewis Fautzi and Setaoc Mass have been invited and the collective is also composed of three talented residents: Justine Perry, DC11 and diapasøn, who each bring their own style and unique energy.
