BSV: Hello Mina! Thanks for this outstanding mixtape! How are you today? 
MINA POZNANOVIC: Hi, thank you for inviting me, I’m glad you like the podcast, I really had fun playing it! I’m great today, good vibes only!

BSV: We are very happy to have you here as a first domestic female visionary. Can we call you Cinthie from Serbia?
MINA POZNANOVIC: I’m happy that I’m a first female visionary and I hope there will be more mixtapes by female artists in the future. I am very honored to be compared to an artist like @cinthie, as I can easily say that she is one of my favorite DJs, both in terms of her musical selection and her personality. Thanks for this observation, because I have been following her work for a long time. I love her musical taste and her attitude towards music. I think she is also an excellent producer and a complete artist, and I think these are the main reasons why she has been on stage for so long. I especially love her because she is a passionate record collector. So, I would be happy if one day I could be as influential as she is in the music industry.

BSV: Audience is curious about the way that you got into electronic music. Let us know here.
MINA POZNANOVIC: I fell in love with electronic music as a teenager, when I started going out in Belgrade clubs. The energy in the club is something that immediately mesmerized me. That sound of electronic music has kept me on the dance floor until this day. I started researching various genres of electronic music and collecting tracks that I liked. A long time later, I decided to start playing, because I wanted to transfer to others the energy that I’m getting from the DJs I like to listen to.

BSV: Piano chords and organ synths. Are you in love with 90’s music?
MINA POZNANOVIC: Excellent question! As a child of the 90’s, it is natural that the sound of that era had an influence on my musical taste. When I was a child, I saw a music video on TV of Orbital, Halcyon And On and On song, and the video and the melody somehow got stuck in my memory. It is interesting to me that, many years later, I found that tune and had some kind of a flashback of my childhood. Also, I think the years of playing the piano affected the piano chords being somewhat naturally present in my sets.

BSV: Do you have some other passions besides getting loose to the repetitive music?
MINA POZNANOVIC: I think that passion, if it is in us, is all around us. I can be inspired by different situations, people, emotions, life itself. I often find pleasure in simplicity. Apart from music, I also like to express myself through words and drawings.

BSV: People in Serbia know you from Let’s Mix It competition, but you actually started way before with small underground parties. Was this path challenging enough?
MINA POZNANOVIC: Interesting question, because not a lot of people know that my beginnings were related to the underground. When I started to play music, I loved the rebellion vibes of the underground, which I think is less and less present today. I love it when I see the courage to experiment with music and be authentic. I believe that the electronic music that exists today owes it to the underground, which is a symbol of sincere love for music, change, movement and passion. In my opinion, without that, progress would be impossible.

BSV: Can you please describe your connection with Gramophonedzie and the way that he influenced your sound style?
MINA POZNANOVIC: After the competition, @gramophonedzie was my mentor, and I learned a lot from him, for example the basics of music production. I think that he is a passionate music lover and someone that you can learn a lot from. He is a wonderful teacher who, thanks to his huge knowledge and passion, can offer a lot to others. He also influenced me to love music even more.
