Frank and I started paddle boarding on Lake Michigan, which inspired this song 🙂 I wrote it as a reminder to note and treasure the places and activites that fill us with peace, and make time to do those activities ♥ This will help us through the ups and downs of life.

The beauty of the sky opens over my head.
Glittering is natural here in a cove of otherworldly sights.

Your eyes like pools into the universe, I see:
laughter, sparkling light into my soul.
A hidden world I've found in my humble home.
Something I would not have beforehand known.

I searched long and wide for the first part of my life,
trying to find that great thing I would do.
Then it got washed by a wave and crashed into a rock,
pieces were scattered into oblivion.

I was crushed, I wandered in the dark and died to myself
and something transformed from the ashes.

I wrote this song to see if I could build the belief that God works all things for good. The example of nature in spring gave inspiration for resilience through winter ❤️

You mourn with me over tragedy, so I know my prayer is heard. Evil seems to have a victory, but it won’t have the last word. For you are the one who created all and you’ll get us through the fall. For you make the sun rise and send the rain once again over us all.

After the wind and the rain, we can rise again! Nature shows us how, through the miracle of spring!
