Fight For Equality

For all who know me, I'm a huge empath.  The world around us falls apart or reveals the cracks in the facade being held up to shelter those more privileged like myself, but I still carry the weight of everything that I see or hear about the current state of societal collapse (at least to the best of my capacity).

With all of the protests, the murder, the 24-hour news cycle, the tear gas, the pepper spray, the rubber bullets, climate change, and a deadly novel coronavirus beating at the door, it would be hard for anyone to keep their head up instead of being crushed by the misery and pain. The best way I communicate these things are through my music, and I felt compelled to share something I've created from the experience of living through our present and tragic blip in history.

I would never in my life have the ability to truly understand the trials and injustice that black and brown people experience every day in America and all over the world, but if there's a way for me to reach others through art or to use my platform to spread attention or knowledge of our fight for progressive change, I not only feel obliged, but proud to help lift the voices of black and brown people in my life.  I hope that one day we can see a new and better world together!
