A new chapter unfolds with RSNC01, the first in RESONICA's annual compilation series. A collection of sounds that transcend the moment, crafted by artists whose music echoes and endures.

From varying sonic landscapes, a blend emerges—eclectic, timeless, and unbound by style. An ensemble of tracks that suit every hour, from day to deep night. This compilation marks the beginning of a journey, one that will continue each year, leaving its mark on those who listen and shaping the ever-growing legacy of RESONICA Records.

A heartfelt thank you to all the artists who brought this project to life.

Kicking things off, we’re thrilled to include two incredibly talented yet mysterious producers—UNKNOWN and ???—who you may have heard without realizing.

Representing the local scene, Benjamin Amaru and Dariush channel their roots in indie/pop into electronic music with pure passion. The legendary Kalabrese from Club Zukunft joins KAYYAK in a collaboration filled with live instruments, rhythmic drums, and vibrant synths.

Then there’s Polysomn, the harmonious pairing of Micha and Noah, whose track is brought to life by breathing bongos and bending sounds. Zurich’s very own Manuel Fischer brings his unique production style and creative flair into the groove of this compilation. As founders of RESONICA festival and label, 2M (Max and Morgan) have been consistently pushing boundaries with new musical and cultural projects.

Joining us from around the globe, Cumhur Jay, an Ibiza-based producer, brings his signature groove and a vault of unreleased treasures; Pascal Moscheni, a DJ and producer, infuses his music with bold, Spanish-inspired beats; and Hiver, the Italian duo of Giuseppe and Sergio, share years of deep knowledge and dedication, elevating the electronic music scene.

RSNC01 - RESONICA 01 COMPILATION

It is with great excitement that we kick off the RESONICA REC. chapters with Hiver available now on Soundcloud.

We have been following them for a while and have been captivated by their serious and committed productions, as well as hypnotic melodies and haunting rhythms. 

They've been defining their aesthetic path, driven by melodic and distant elements slowly evolving in a mould of linear rhythms. Their debut Ep “A Day”, on Vidab Records has been followed by the highly acclaimed “Blue Aconite” Ep, released via Curle Recordings and including a Tobias remix. 

In 2019 Peggy Gou featured an Hiver’s track for her compilation on !K7. In 2021 the duo makes a comeback with releases on Polifonic's new label and Sungate Records. In 2022 "Wave Sliding" EP on Peggy Gou's GUDU label, a record that both marks and celebrates Hiver’s 10 years of operation.

Thanks to this release, Hiver’s name started to be reckon worldwide. Clubs and festival promoters have soon started taking note of their works, as testified by their shows at Panoramabar, Dimensions Festival, Polifonic, ADE, Oval Space,Tresor and tours in Asia, US, South America.

RESONICA REC. 1 - HIVER

We had the pleasure to dance to her grooves at Heideglühen last year and immediately wanted to bring her to Zurich for an intimate event earlier this year. Her kindness and love for the craft transmits nothing but happiness for what she does and she has been proving it in many occasions. We are happy to welcome her on the RESONICA Radio as our 2nd guest. However, let us first introduce her:

Naomi is a Berlin-based DJ with a deep and selective love for House music. She has a bewildering talent of moving people at the sound of her hand-picked and unpredictable vinyl. She spent her youth refining her collection as a dancer and in the last years she has made a name for herself; a name associated with precision in the grooves and an impeccable mixing. Naomi is playing in many renowned Berlin clubs as Tresor, Watergate, Golden Gate and Heideglühen, while also making appearances on HÖR and ARTE Concert.

RESONICA REC. 2 - NAOMI

We are happy to welcome Cici on the RESONICA REC. as our 3rd guest available now on Soundcloud.

We had the pleasure to see her perform at Folklor, a lovely club in Lausanne. Her energy is unmatched and her love for the music is true and pure. 

Cici is an Irish born, Ibiza based DJ and producer who is known for her psychedelic and energetic approach to music. 

A DJ comfortable and confident in playing multiple genres, She doesn't like labels and will likely never fit in a box! 

With 15 years experience as a professional DJ she has played in many of the worlds best clubs and currently holds a residency at the infamous Circoloco in DC10 Ibiza.

RESONICA REC. 3 - CICI

We are happy to welcome our dear friend Prioleau on the RESONICA REC. as our 4th guest available now on Soundcloud.

He is an incredibly talented producer - in 2016, he co-founded "Ozelot" with 2 friends, an avant-garde and disruptive Zürich-based record label on which he appeared with his own sounds many times. As a DJ, his countless hours behind the decks speak for his flair and experience. In 2023, his love for pushing musical boundaries brought him into the realm of live set performances, embedding deep and energetic grooves varying from house to techno.  

For Prioleau, music is a playground, and each set is an impromptu exploration of the uncharted terrains of sound, a quest to fuse disparate tones into a harmonious cascade of dancing euphoria.

RESONICA REC. 4 - PRIOLEAU

We are happy to welcome Bawrut on the RESONICA REC. as our 5th guest available now on Soundcloud. 

A quick intro to this mix: drums and syncopated rhythms tracks never get old and can be played at wrong BPM with unexpected results. This mix is focusing on this approach playing brand new and old stuff from Kinshasa to Cairo passing by Medellin, Italy and France.

And a quick intro about him: Bawrut is a Madrid based, Italian born producer and DJ. 

Heavily influenced by the work of Chicago pioneers, established European teachers and every sound he can find on the internet or during digging sessions, Bawrut’s taste toes a wonderfully balanced line between classics and brand new tracks.

Since the early hits ‘Ciquita’ and ‘Rumba’ he received heavy support from the likes of Kink, Axel Boman and Erol Alkan. Mixmag, DJ Mag, Test Pressing and Data Transmission also proclaimed him as one of the freshest producer and DJ.
Becoming resident at legendary Mondo Disko in Madrid he shaped his taste and style trough his own music and “the art of warm up” + “the closing” sharing the booth with tons of different act from disco to techno. Since then he started to perform in the most famous clubs and festival like Sub Club, fabric, Sonar, Nuites Sonores, c/o Pop, Circoloco, Nitsa and much more sharing his unique approach to different genres combined all together as his personal music outputs.

With his last EPs on Ransom Note, Life and Death and Correspondant he became the DJ’s Producer been supported from Dixon to Keinemusik, from Sven Vath to Avalon Emerson,  from Hunee to Jennifer Cardini, from Vladimir Ivkovic to DJ Tennis.

Exploring new and old sounds he always tries to make people dance in the middle of people and cultures.

RESONICA REC. 5 - BAWRUT

For the RESONICA REC. number 6, we are honoured to welcome Kalabrese, a very talented artist that has been crafting his sounds since a long time. 
 
Sasha Winkler (aka Kalabrese) does not need much introduction. Last year, during the ATTO project festival in Lausanne (now called RESONICA), he graced us with his sounds while the last sunglight was warming up the dancefloor - a moment in time to remember. Thank you for this. 

He is one of the most glittering characters in Zurich’s music scene and long lasting owner of the famous Zukunft Club. He has his very own style as a producer, creating a stir around the globe. Not to forget, his band “rumpelfunk” performs in a very special way - the stage is usually filled with various artists, who perfectly synchronize and where creativity and spontaeity have their own space. Please go listen to „let love rumpel part 1“ and „let love rumpel part 2“, a marvellously light and warm dance. The music goes to the hip and to the heart and automatically we start to dance. It is very clear, through his passion and dedication, Kalabrese developed his very own signature sound which feels like coming home and diving into his universe.

This set was recorded live @Zukunft during our RESONICA night. It’s the opening set from 2M, warming things up for John Talabot.

Max and Morgan , the Zurich-based duo called 2M, have devotedly embraced their love for musical expression since the very first day together.

Driven by experimental enthusiasm, they explore complementary music tastes with strong driving baselines, playing with alternation of beats and speed between electronic and organic notes. They love to combine old dancefloor bangers with futuristic sounds, moving between the 90s and the future. The energetic connection between the people and 2M creates intimacy for the space of a moment, giving an unexpected musical voyage.

RESONICA REC. 8 - 2M

RESONICA REC. 9 invites our dear friend Jay. He recorded this set in Ibiza, including many of his unreleased tracks that will feature on his new album (released very soon, stay tuned). 

Cumhur Jay is a DJ who hates being a DJ. Being a fame of hall of Ibiza’s underground scene, he’s played at legendary clubs like Space Ibiza, Amnesia & Circoloco—not that he cares. He even has an MTV Music Award, which he finds useful as a doorstop, and worked on some Grammy-nominated albums, though he’d rather not hear about it. If you bring up his past projects, he might walk away mid-conversation.

Originally from Turkey and banned from the UK (don’t ask), he lived in Madrid and Paris before ending up in Ibiza. He runs a recording studio, Can Jay, where he spends all his money on analog gear, making it both his pride and his financial ruin.

This week, Resonica Recs invites the DJ duo From House to Disco to take the spotlight as our 10th recommendation.  With a fine-tuned curatorship and in-depth research, the Brazilian duo connects a signature based on the old school's avant- garde with contemporary freshness, both in selections for the dance floors and in their original mixes that had featured in catalogs such as Definitive Recordings, Razor-N-Tape and Massa Records.
