Judder presents the first EP of the year 2025: ‘Keep It Locked‘ EP – a collab of the two beginner producers @nattah_sound and @naprimer_1.

The release consists of one collab that gave the name for the EP itself, a remix on it from @oddkut, as well as solo tracks by Nattah and Naprimer.

This new mini-album has all the shades of up-to-date bass music – punchy breakbeat with oriental vibes, experiments at 140 bpm, seasoned with overdrive effects, airy leftfield bass and groove-filled percussion parts, referring to Baile Funk. Every British modern sound fan will certainly find something for themselves here.

We are thrilled to present a new collaboration between @verg._._ and @twythen, two UK producers with a distinctive approach to club music who have left their mark on labels that have greatly inspired us, including Cloudcore and Strand Audio.

The Liverpool-based Verg and London’s Twythen bring their unique twist on UK bass music with “Demsiatsu”, a track that fuses atmospheric and percussive elements from the leftfield of the genre, featuring playful yet heavy basslines and infectious baile funk vocals.

“Demsiatsu” is out now on Bandcamp, Beatport, and all streaming platforms.

Billenkoek Vol. 1 is the saucy opening chapter of Dutch imprint Booty School — indisputably solidifying the label’s distinctive lush, vibrant, and playful sound.

“Billenkoek” is a Dutch term that can be loosely translated as “asscake,” but a more accurate translation would be “spanking.” In this case, it refers not so much to the punishment, but rather to a playful interpretation of it — the album functioning as a sonic spanking.

About the track:
I'm a guy from southern Spain who's been messing with music production and mixing since I was an early teen - I was 13 the first time I made a beat and was using Atomix MP3 to do mashups before that. Also I've been a fan of electronic music since I was a little kid, and most of my music projects have been built on this major genre.

My Process:
As chaotic as it is, I find comfort in not being strict with myself or following a predefined path when I make music. It would be hard to break it down as it varies pretty much every time I create a song. Most often, though, I will start with drums and basslines - those two are the foundations on which I normally erect my sound sculptures, even if they don't end up carrying the meaning and soul of the final product.

About This Song:
For this song, it was no different. I started off with the drums and sub bass, though in this case they do indeed conform the core of the track. Strongly influenced by the UK sound, it also helped me take the vocal sample off my bucket list, since I'd wanted to use it for ages (for anyone curious, Dead Prez - Hip Hop, one of my fav tunes as a teen).

This song is purely intended to vibe to it. No matter if you play it at home, in your car, or at the club, it's a gentle but solid song for fans of darker, smoother cuts.

On Paper Wings, Nate Swan takes the nostalgic found-sound collage of his previous bass-heavy work and distills it into a hazy, looping, emotive cut of sample-chop prog house. It's 2006 by way of 2026: Ministry of Sound (Australia)-inspired, no doubt, but with a dusty, alchemical eye to the genre-agnosticism of the past decade. As with everything, Nate straddles the line between sincerity and memetics.

Such is life for the gentleman joker..
