my dad and aunt both grew up singing and performing with my Grandparents.

I wrote this between 2017-2019 after I moved back to North Carolina from Georgia. I was listening to a lot of 90s alternative at the time. that, along with the influence from ATL and my bluegrass roots has led me here

CRUISING

I wrote this one about my friend because he wanted to learn guitar. So I thought I'd write something sweet that was simple for him to try and learn. we spent a lot time chilling, watching cartoons, listening to good music, cooking together... I'm thankful to have met someone that handled my presence and taught me how to be a better person.
I left him with my baritone ukulele as a token of peace and good will

my earliest memories are the ones with my sisters. 
I remember an Autumn night, eating pumpkin pie and watching Gold Diggers: The Secret of Bear Mountain. I was about 3 years old.
Jessica passed away two years ago tonight, and this is my way of memorializing her.
it took two years for the emotions to really touch me. when she died, I was starting college again. I was working doubles every Friday-sunday ; I was trying to get my shit together. I stayed angry most of that time.

I found these casette tapes the other day. as soon as I heard her voice, I started crying. there was no way I could keep them to myself.
