Short Stuff

First round catalogue number and the first split EP on Visky recordings from Prague. What we have here is a company of two great djs and producers with four soulful tunes perfect for the long warm summer days and nights or cold winters to heat you up.

Tracks on side A are brought to you by the Russian eclectic dj and producer Alexander Lay-Far. Moscow based Lay-Far has already proved his talent with records released on labels 4 Lux, JD Records or with his awesome appearances on Amplified in the Disco In Distress series.

You have surely heard of Matt Flores as well. The man from Düsseldorf, Germany, with his home base on Farside records, recently released an outstanding record on Cinematic. Matt is responsible for the side B containing two tunes with Rogue Moves being a truly club affair.

As always on Visky Recordings, the vinyl artwork is beautifully designed by Jakub Uksa.

Visky 005 - Lay-Far / Matt Flores - Split Personality EP (Snippets)

The Dubless originally from Tokyo came back again with a brand-new song, "ICARUS". The release of the original version of "ICARUS" is the most long-awaited song along with the others in the latest mini album.The original sounds like 80's symbolic bassline represented by Gergeo Morder but the remix has changed to more raw groove by live drumming having some resemblance like brand new Daft Punk album which huge effects to dance music scene for all over the world. Also their remake has achieved not just longer, but more simple than the original version. The remixer is a world-famous DJ, Max Essa, who has released his successful brand-new album「Won Ton Sunset」recently. We can enjoy his 80's style, one of his characteristics, throughout the remix. Especially, the middle of the song with piano is not only powerful but also elegant and it accelerates the song even faster.　It is the remix with danceable and musical elements. A mastering Engineer, Chester Beatty has released high-quality techno music since early 90's. He is also known as a person who taught Dubless how to create music. He has received excellent reputation in composition and mastering from plenty of experiences in his career. The beautiful jacket featuring a motif of "Birds", which catch people's eyes, is an Suno Fujimoto (sanpo design)'s work . Its typography done by Art Director, G, is thought of brevity of Zen. He shows that the record is not an expendable but an art work.

"DiscoShit" is the name of a cooperation project by Phil Decker & Herb LF. Both are active in the electronic music movement since quiet a long time. 

Phil Decker is an established DJ from the south west of germany since the late 90ies. He gained also a remarkable reputation as a producer. As "Dubnova" he released really cool deep house stuff. Half a year ago he released his first EP under his real name "Phil Decker" on "ohral recordings" which went down really well. Herb LF on the other side is a very well known producer since a long time. Especially known for some extraordinary " listening / chill out" productions. As a Mastering Engineer he does masterings for labels like "Freude Am tanzen, Bpitch Control" amongst others. 

Together Phil Decker & Herb LF are "DiscoShit". They already released some stuff under this pseudonym on their own imprint "Rest !". So we are honored that they´ve decided to release this knorky 3 track EP on "ohral recordings".

What you could expect music wise The project name itself already gives good information what their productions are all about. 
So lots of Fun with the music.
