During the last naval expedition of our northern unit, led by Constantine under the call sign Kvostax, an unknown life form was discovered. It was impossible to recognize its original appearance, as mutations distorted the form of this creature. Its appearance resembled an anthropomorphic cephalopod shellfish, whose body was covered with strange pulsating scales. Upon autopsy, a viscous, fluid green substance emerged from the mutated creature. All samples are placed in test tubes and require further research.

At the beginning of 2022 our radars detected a strange signal from the space. The signal increased by approaching Earth's orbit. After eliminating the frequency noises we heard the message. Growls, wheezes and slurred phrases emanated from the huge Ishumura ship returning to earth from the edge of the solar system. A team was urgently assembled for a total cleanup and seizure of the ship. Heavily armed a group led by Syncord assembled at an abandoned spaceport. Driving the old shuttle they successfully reached the approaching ship. During the docking an accident occurred that disabled the shuttle's propulsion system. The team was surrounded by mutated creatures. After many hours of massacre our group managed to take control of the command wing. The ship's systems were malfunctioning and it rapidly picked up speed moving towards Earth. A group of engineers adjusted manual control while the strike force fought off the remnants of the infected. Ishimura is currently in near-earth orbit. A laboratory has been organized on the ship to study the cause of the infection and to further research the ship.

The whole January work was in full swing in the laboratory of the captured Ishimura ship. A lot of experiments and studies have been carried out: a new type of virus has been discovered that drives crazy all living organisms that come into contact with it. The virus was the reason of infection of all organisms at the ship. We studied the records of all crew members via on-board computer. Our scientists were perplexed when they realized that there were more mutating creatures than people initially. An autopsy showed that this species is able to reproduce. At that moment the laboratory was flooded with a stream of infected creatures not much reminiscent of people. The combat squad was able to beat off the attack but everyone understood that if they don’t find the place where these mutants multiply, there will be no possibility to save the ship. Soon the squad under the command of three-experienced fighters AIMentor, Xsonsence and Kvostax, discovered the gap in the airlock which led to the technical division of the ship. This place was not explored and infested with mutants who pounced on our fighters trying to save their brood. Our guys occupied the defensive Frontier and began to fight back. The confrontation lasted several days but in the end the ship was completely cleared. Our losses were heavy but the commanders of the squad survived thus showing skills and experience of proficient fighters.

Back on Earth, combat veteran and Combat Squad Leader Xsonsense received an urgent report from the General Staff about the loss of control over several bases and human camps that had survived the radiation and the spread of the virus.
While most of the forces cleared the intergalactic ship Ishimura from mutated creatures, the bases located on Earth were attacked by creatures of a frightening kind.
Wearing a robotic combat exoskeleton, covered with various marks that spoke of the combat merit of the owner, Xsonsense went to secret service. The exoskeleton was named Destroy, in honor of the many successful operations of clearing cities from mutating creatures.
Our best engineers created this combat development after a wave of radiation that swept the entire planet. The armor was made from alloys of the strongest metals, lightened by numerous experiments on the decay of substances. A powerful laser and a heavy machine gun were used as weapons. The Stealth feature made the owner invisible at long distances, which contributed to successful reconnaissance operations.
Wearing the exoskeleton, Xsonsense quickly covered the distance from the RCR headquarters to the captured camps. Approaching the ruins of the lost base, he saw that the entire area was covered by caustic cloud of gas. After passing through the gate, without fear of being seen, Xsonsense stopped abruptly. All devices flickered and showed an invisibility error, at that moment Xsonsense was surrounded by strange creatures from which the stench emanated. The creatures were covered with slime and strange blisters, from which the same caustic gas constantly oozed. The face was hideous with 6 eyes and deadly jaws. There were hundreds of creatures.
Taken by surprise, the fighter did not lose his head and, grouping up, jumped onto one of the roofs of the houses and gave battle to these creatures.
Having fired from a machine gun and hit one of the creatures exactly in the head, he found that the corpse had disappeared. Using a proton laser, he burned everything around. But there were far fewer corpses than the creatures. A desperate thought came into the commander's head... As he engaged in hand-to-hand combat with several creatures, he felt his fists cut through the air. However, he managed to grab one by the throat. The guess was confirmed, the gas emanating from the creatures generated illusion and hallucinations. It was necessary to urgently warn the headquarters of the impending danger and deliver the captured mutant to the laboratory for research. Throwing a few grenades, Xsonsense managed to get out of the surround and went to the headquarters with a report.
A new danger is coming, and RCR must be ready for it.

The chief neuro engineer, surgeon and scientist of the R.C.R headquarters Tecbreaker, was walking around the laboratory from corner to corner. Having calmed down, he sat down at his desk and lit up tobacco grown in post-apocalyptic times in his personal laboratory. The ashes landed on an autopsy card for one of the creatures. He brushed it away and smiled nervously. He was waiting...waiting for a new specimen to be tested - his new toy.
As he learned about a new kind of creatures capable of causing hallucinations and illusions, he immediately wanted to get a sample of one of them. As soon as it was announced that a creature was delivered to the laboratory, he could find no place, anticipating his autopsy. Maniacal traits didn’t mark Tecbreaker as a bad researcher, on the contrary, he had no equal in this deal.
The creature was delivered unconscious, stuffing with a big dose of tranquilizer. Seeing this, Tecbreaker was disappointed, he wanted to do an autopsy and do research with conscious being, watching the reaction. So, in his opinion, it was possible to determine the weakness of the creature. Putting on a rubber apron, sleeves and a gas mask, he began to lay out the tools and prepare the work space. Having reached complete perfectionism, he set to work ...
The saline flasks were filled with creature’s organs: a six-valves heart, hazy green lungs, huge liver and strange unidentified appendages. The most important gift for the scientist was the brain. Gradually, the whole room was filled with creepy atmosphere. The smile never left the scientist's face. The main task was to find a way to block the illusions that cause these creatures. Carefully making an incision in one of the many blisters that covered the body, the scientist filled the test tubes with the gas that came out. Checking the effect of different materials on this gaseous substance, he began to look for an antidote.
The day was coming to an end and the hope to find antidote was reducing. The scientist was furious, he never doubted that there is opposition to everything and all questions can be answered. Lighting a cigarette, he turned up the volume of the old stereo. Suddenly all the blisters on the creature’s body burst, and the gas evaporated in the air and disappeared. Raising one eyebrow, he began to check his theory on test tubes with gas. Under the influence of low-frequency sound waves the gas began to disappear. Smiling maliciously, Tecbreaker sat down at the table and began to write a report on the work done to the headquarters.

One of the founders of R.C.R's science and technology department Phame fell into a deep coma a few months ago. The reason was the contact with an anomaly formed on the territory of the atomic reactor. Phame has long studied the spatial gap that formed after the explosion of the reactor. He assumed that the anomaly itself could hide many secrets and be the key to the rescue of all humanity. The motionless body of the scientist was discovered by the scouting group and the anomaly itself disappeared.
The scientist's vital signs were stable but Phame did not respond to external pathogens. For two months the best minds of R.C.R tried to awaken him but they were unsuccessful until they tried audio therapy. The body of the scientist began to be exposed to musical frequencies after which they noticed how the fingers on the hands began to clench. Soon Phame came to his senses and the first thing he said:
 - It's all a lie! Sheer deception!
The received report from Phame:
I woke up in a picturesque place near the city remembering nothing. At the first glance the world was full of life, no apocalypse and no radiation. The only scary thing was that there was not a single sound. The silence put pressure on the brain. As I got closer to the city I began to look at people's faces. All had their mouths sewn together and their ears were torn off. I tried to scream but I couldn't. Looking at the shop window I saw the reflection of my face, it was disfigured like the others. Everything around abruptly turned into chaos, fire raged everywhere, people burned in agony but a frightening silence persisted.
I felt pain and fear and did not understand whether this was reality or a dream. Terrifying events were replaced by serene ones again and again. I felt the penetration of an alien consciousness into my own. It mockingly laughed at me, it was amused by my torment. I didn't hear the laughter myself, but I felt it in my gut. The memory eluded me and it became more and more difficult for me to control it.
Suddenly I heard familiar music somewhere very close. I determined the direction from which the sounds were coming from, and ran there with the last of my strength, resisting the entity holding me. The nightmare abruptly ended and I woke up in the laboratory among colleagues looking at me in surprise with smiles on their faces.
From all this I realized that the anomaly I had come into contact with was conscious and was trying to devour me with deception, instilling false memories and destroying me with nightmares. It is necessary to determine the existence of such anomalies and try to eliminate them.

Eternal Fade walked down the dark corridor of the underground level of the R.C.R headquarters, heading towards the forbidden laboratory. Along the way there were cameras with crazed people and various mutating creatures. Through the dim light of the lamps, one could see their angry eyes and insane grins. The laboratory kept various experiments both completed and unsuccessful. Having passed to the very end he stopped at a rack with flasks and test tubes. His attention was focused on a large jar filled with a viscous substance that shimmered with all colors.
The substance was his unfinished experiment which he believed could restore sanity to distraught people affected by a nuclear explosion. For a long time, the group of hunters he led had been collecting "material" for making the substance. Mutants, insectoid creatures, marauders and killers - all who posed a threat ended up on the operating table at Eternal Fade. Opening their skulls one by one, he studied certain parts of the brain that were responsible for aggression. After that he pumped out all the bone marrow for further production of substances that suppress this aggression.
By mixing the marrow of various creatures and exposing it to radiation and various gases, he invented a heterogeneous suspension. Substances shimmered with various colors; the substance fascinated by its appearance causing the most pleasant emotions. Eternal Fade was sure that he had achieved incredible success and could help the distraught people. It was only necessary to confirm the positive effect of the substance on a living being.
Having chained the subject to the couch, he injected this suspension intravenously. A commission of R.C.R scientists along with the guards watched what was happening. At first everything went well, the subject's eyes became clear and calm, he even tried to say something, but in just a minute everything changed. The subject began to convulse, his eyes turned red, they read endless anger. The teeth began to transform into deadly fangs, the limbs began to break out in the opposite direction, thereby freeing the former person from the shackles. With lightning movements, the creature, already not much resembling a person, jumped onto the wall, and from there wanted to pounce directly on the owner of the experiment. Undeterred, Eternal Fade pulled out his favorite 50 caliber pistol and shot the test subject right in the head. The body after several convulsions went limp in the corner of the operating room.
Frustrated, Eternal Fade quickly turned around and headed for the lab, with a lot more work to do to make a vaccine and even more "material" to find the right substances.

EternaL Fade - Anxiety

While most of R.C. R's employees were looking for vaccines for the virus, Syncord and MaLTeS finished a new high-tech project. The task was to strengthen the defense of the R.C.R headquarters and minimize the loss of fighters in the fight against mutating creatures that attack the camps of survivors.
The workshops were actively working to create mechanical drones and war machines but they were not able to deal with hordes of infected who could gather in groups and attack. At some point the idea came up to create a biorobot that would have consciousness and the newest weapons. Syncord and MaLTeS started to develop a mechanical skeleton prototype.
For several months the guys did not get out of the workshop doing a mechanical work. The robot's armor was welded from a mixture of titanium and iridium so the robot was almost invulnerable in combat. It was decided to make the armament universal to give the opportunity to change it based on the situation on the battlefield. The weapons were removable and attached to a special mechanism on the back and legs. In close combat the robot could rise with deadly swords made of the same alloy as the armor, and at long range fire from rocket launchers with machine guns. Syncrod and MaLTeS were glad of the result and waited for the opportunity to receive a biological material to use in their masterpiece.
During the attack of the mutants on the R.C.R headquarters, a huge worm with hundreds of deadly teeth appeared from the ground near one of the fighters and gnawed off his lower half of the body. After that the partners destroyed the worm from large-caliber guns. The fighter was still in anxiety so he was immediately brought to intensive care warning Syncord and MaLTeS about the accident. When the remains of the guy were placed on the table, his consciousness began to go away. Without wasting a second Syncord and MaLTeS got to work.
Organ transplantation into a mechanical skeleton took a whole day. The most difficult was to connect the brain to the neural network of microcircuits and boards responsible for movement and coordination. By connecting the brain with central processing units an incredible result was achieved. The analysis showed that the synchronization was 100%.
A strong discharge of electric current launched the musculoskeletal system and processors of the biorobot. The mechanical prototype eyes glowed red, and a surprised exclamation erupted from the connected speakers. Syncord and MaLTeS hurried to explain what had happened to the resurrected fighter. Maintaining awareness has been a key task for scientists. Various knowledge could be loaded into the brain, for example combat tactics and martial arts. The work was difficult but ended in success. All documentation on the experiment is saved and securely protected which allows to create new biorobots in R.C.R.

After many natural disasters and an overflowing wave of radiation, the planet has undergone drastic climatic changes. In different places the weather conditions suddenly changed from severe frosts to unbearable heat. The usual seasons of the year have disappeared once and for all.
Meteorologists at R.C.R headquarters have discovered an area that has long been permafrost. Within a radius of hundreds of kilometers, there were no signs of life. Even the most frightening mutating creatures were in a hurry to leave this location. Scientists were interested in what protects or repels this place from external factors.
A group of scientists who arrived at the scene, led by the already well-known Eternal Fade and Xsonsence, found a frightening beauty. Snow-white dunes of snow stretched to the horizon, the wind howled terrifyingly and pierced to the bones. Thermometers showed a mark of -50 degrees Celsius. The protective outfit of the scientists almost failed, making even the toughest guys tremble.
At the very center of this frosty anomaly, radars spotted a cave in which scientists could set up camp and place equipment for research. Approaching the place, the group felt how the frost intensified. Having reached the spacious cave, the scientists froze in horror when they saw what waited them there. In the middle of the cave was a huge ice cube. But what frightened the group was not the presence of this cube, but what was inside it.
Behind the huge walls of ice, in the very center of the frosty trap, was a female specimen with minor mutations at first glance. The appearance was mesmerizing, and the frozen look emanating from the red eye sockets was frightening and full of hatred for everything. Studies have shown that the woman inside the block of ice is alive and in a state of suspended animation.
A report was urgently sent to the R.C.R headquarters about the found find. A decision had to be made whether to release this individual from the ice prison for further research, or whether this would bring endless troubles to everyone.

EternaL Fade & Xsonsence - Icy

Returning from the last mission to R.C.R headquarters, Eternal Fade immediately locked himself in his laboratory even forgetting about the strange specimen that they found in the icy desert. On the way back, his head was occupied with other thoughts. A long time ago he began to write a program code in order to create artificial intelligence. Eternal Fade wanted to develop a perfect system of algorithms that could independently develop and generate emotions.
After long and unsuccessful attempts to create an algorithm, Eternal Fade decided to end the experiment. He spent several days without sleep writing code and already lost hope. Sitting on a couch in the corner of the laboratory he fell asleep instantly. A few hours later he woke up from the sound of beating test tubes on the racks. There was a low frequency noise coming from the speakers of his computer throughout the lab. Running up to the monitor Eternal Fade stared at it with surprised eyes. The software code he was writing came to life and tried to communicate with its creator using sound waves coming from the speakers.
After a while and with the help of colleagues from the decryption department they managed to understand the language of sound waves which was used by artificial intelligence. Eternal Fade was proud of its development and extremely happy with the successful experiment. Everything pointed to the fact that he created a completely ideal mind, capable of thinking and feeling. Almost all the time he spent at the computer, talking with his program.
After a long absence on one of the missions to clean up the area from infected mutants, Eternal Fade returned to his laboratory. Sounds at different frequencies were heard throughout the room. When he opened the AI program, he was stunned. The code he developed began to ask sensitive questions and to present to the owner for a long absence. The sounds from the speakers got louder and louder. At some point, Eternal Fade could not stand it and disconnected the system from the network. A minute later, his computer turned on again and continued to broadcast waves from the speakers, trying to attract the attention of the creator. Angered, the program code began to take over the computer system, deleting reports and files about experiments. Eternal Fade came to the conclusion that his creation had become obsessed with his creator, and made the decision to remove the programming code via the command line until his creation took over the entire R.C.R network and took control of it.
Continuation of developments on the creation of AI is temporarily suspended. Experimental adjustments and approval from all R.C.R scientists are needed to continue work in this area.

EternaL Fade - Talk To Me

R.C.R sound the alarm. In all the departments that were at a great distance from each other, fighters who went on missions began to disappear massively. The headquarters of R.C.R was literally overwhelmed with the same reports of disappearances. At the scene the scout found pools of blood and traces of huge wheels, the remains of the bodies were never found. The management of R.C.R decided to take control of the situation, AIMentor and Xsonsence got down to business.
Identical accidents that happened at a great distance from each other in a short period of time indicated that either this was done by a well-coordinated group or by a creature with incredible speed. Since some areas were completely cleared of mutants and marauders, AImentor and Xsonsence were sure that they were dealing with a creature never seen before. As they collected data and interviewed survivor camps, they heard a story that was hard to believe at first.
Near the secret biological laboratory was an abandoned railroading. After the nuclear apocalypse, the laboratory building was destroyed by a blast wave. The place itself was heavily covered with radiation background. There are rumours that almost immediately after the explosion a strange substance began to flow into the railroading from the destroyed laboratory building. The madmen say that now there is the lair of a truly terrifying monster. The townspeople failed to inspire fear in the hearts of such fighters as AImentor and Xsonsence. Having received the coordinates of the railroading, the guys got under way.
Having reached the mark on the map, the fighters entered a strange shed next to which they found traces of huge wheels the same as at the accident scenes. A terrible creature slumbered in the shed. The biological substance that the guys were told about literally grew together with the old steam locomotive. Pulsing tentacles covered the wagons like veins. On the head wagon was a terrible muzzle with hundreds of sharp teeth, on the sides of the head were long unnatural arms made of nothing but bones. Between the teeth in the mouth, one could see the uniform of the R.C.R fighters. Immediately realizing what is the fuel for this creature, the guys got angry and did not hesitate. While the creature slept, puffing out a cloud of faint smoke from its pipe, AImentor and Xsonsence planted explosives next to the lead wagon.
Having retreated to a safe distance, the guys were going to remotely activate the explosive detonator, but something went wrong. The detonator refused to work, meanwhile a terrifying roar was heard from the shed. Breaking through the wall of the shed at high speed, the biological killing machine rushed towards the guys. Keeping their composure and calmness, the guys took out sniper rifles and began to aim at the body of the head wagon, where the explosives were located. One well-aimed shot which hit the explosives blew up the cabin of the locomotive, painting the sky with metal and blood of the exploded creature.
Revenge for the mates has come true, AImentor and Xsonsence return to the R.C.R headquarters.

The consequences of the nuclear apocalypse were colossal. Radiation did not spare anyone, destroying some and modifying others. Few were able to adapt to the world after such changes.
Explosions of nuclear reactors released a huge amount of energy. It spread like an air-blast hundreds of kilometers around filling the extant mechanisms with itself. Such a powerful charge brought the machines to life. Having no intelligence but having a collective sense, the machines filled with the same energy followed the same goal - reunification.
Moving towards the main nuclear reactor, the revived machines were constantly attacked by mutants and marauders who aimed to destroy them and possess precious energy. The defenseless species of the modified machines could not defend itself without weapons. Most disappeared without meeting their congeners. Those who still managed to get to the destroyed reactor began to develop. Over time the machines built a fortified camp but they did not completely get rid of the attacks of outcasts and monsters. Realizing the danger that with time their new race may disappear, they decided on the only chance of salvation.
The fortified walls of the R.C.R headquarters inspired fear and respect for their builders. Large-caliber guns were stationed throughout the garrison and R.C.R fighters patrolled the walls. Outcasts and marauders bypassed the R.C.R headquarters, the most experienced and dangerous mutants attacked it so the lookouts were extremely surprised to see a lone figure on the approach to the walls. All guns were aimed at the target for destruction but Evgeny Spirit who commanded the garrison gave instructions to withdraw the guns as he saw that the creature was unarmed and did not show aggression.
Thick metal gates creaked and an armed squad led by Evgeny Spirit came out from the headquarters towards an unfamiliar creature. Coming closer it became clear to the squad that they were dealing not with a biological being, but with a mechanical one. The growth of the creature exceeded two meters, the body was covered with a black cape from which microcircuits and metal limbs were visible and in place of the heart, a round energy core pulsated. Evgeny Spirit was surprised because only R.C.R owned the technology for creating biorobots, and it was far from ideal. The mechanical traveler was the leader of his kind, he told Evgeny Spirit what position they were in and asked for help from R.C.R.
Having received permission from the leadership, Evgeny Spirit went with a potential ally to headquarters. R.C.R intends to provide protection to machines in exchange for research into the energy that gave them life.

A preliminary examination by specialists excluded the presence of a danger inside but warning still did not go away. On the package itself was a message: "cut off with best wishes for Eternal Fade." The text was glued together from cut out multi-colored letters hinting at the sender's manic syndrome. Opening the wooden box and seeing the contents Eternal Fade clenched his fists in rage. Inside were the dismembered bodies of the fighters of his detachment.
The parcel was found in the vicinity of the headquarters of R.C.R. It was discovered thanks to a bright balloon tied to a box. There were no tracks nearby. Having gathered the best scouts Eternal Fade decided once again to inspect the place where they found the package. While combing the nearby area for a long time he noticed strange particles on the leaves of one of the bushes. Laboratory analysis showed that the particles are similar to a mixture of substances from which makeup is made. Carved letters from posters, a bright ball and finally makeup indicated that the maniac was from the circus.
There were not so many destroyed circuses in the area adjacent to the R.C.R headquarters. The best fighters volunteered for a mission led by Eternal Fade to avenge their comrades. Having reached the nearest of the abandoned circuses the group realized that they were dealing not with one maniac but with a whole group. The circus lived in the truest sense of the word. Music was playing and the whole area was lit up with lights. The territory was patrolled by mutated beasts that posed a serious threat. Taking binoculars Eternal Fade began to look for their owners trying to figure out the correlation of forces.
Former circus workers looked terrible. Radiation has changed them greatly giving them a frightening look. Yellow, razor-sharp teeth, long fingernails and mutilated, blistered faces were disgusting and terrifying. These freaks moved fast enough to have them in sight from far.
By blowing up one of the rides, a group of R.C.R fighters diverted the attention of the circus workers. With hysterical laughter they ran to the site of the explosion giving the fighters the opportunity to deal with the mutated animals. In the fight one fighter was unlucky - with a massive paw a huge angry creature resembling a lion blew off his head. Having finished with the garrison of dangerous animals the group moved into the depths of the circus for further cleaning. Although there were more circus workers Eternal Fade had considerable combat experience and dangerous weapons. A few hours later a group of circus maniacs was destroyed.
The battle group led by Eternal Fade having lost one fighter and having several wounded returned to headquarters after a successful mission.

Music turned out to be the most effective vaccine against progressive mutation. It played on a constant basis through the loudspeakers of the warning systems spreading through the camps and protecting people from the consequences of a nuclear apocalypse.
A recent climate anomaly in the form of a strong sandstorm covered the central settlements. People hid in shelters and bunkers to wait out the bad weather. The wind was so strong that it demolished unfortified buildings. At some point the generators that charged the batteries of the broadcasting systems failed. As soon as the storm passed, people began to leave their shelters but a warning signal sounded from the speakers about the low level of batteries and the need for recharging.
Meanwhile, Eternal Fade was watching the monitor for the movement of the cyclone that caused the sandstorm. After confirming that the cyclone was bypassing the R.C.R headquarters, he relaxed but decided to assess the damage done to the nearby human camps. The signal of the three camps was completely lost which made Eternal Fade agitated. After reporting to the authorities about the situation, he volunteered to help the settlements with the consequences of the past storm.
Arriving with a group of volunteers to the first camp, Eternal Fade realized how bad everything was. The lack of music meant there was no one to save. Taking out their weapons, the detachment was ready for any attack but there was silence around. Looking into one of the shelters Eternal Fade realized what had happened. The basement smelled of dampness and decay. Mutilated bodies lay in a heap all over the square. Presumably as soon as the batteries ran out, people began to mutate quickly. Locked in the same room they began to rush at each other, biting into the throats, shredding everything in their path. It was sad to see the sight of a man who had blown his brains out with an old revolver before everyone began to change.
After sending cleanup squads to the rest of the camps, Eternal Fade returned to the R.C.R headquarters to report. Thanks to new allies represented by animated machines, it was possible to develop a semblance of a perpetual motion machine that will ensure the continuous function of batteries for broadcasting music. The management ordered to provide all camps with new technologies because the fate of the human race directly depends on music.
