James Teej - Right At Home (Nico Purman Remix)

Retrometro is back with its first various artists release.
For this special occasion we gathered four tracks from four amazing producers, all with recent releases on the label and asked them to deliver some heavy techno hitters!
First up we have Children Of Tomorrow’s label boss Arnaud le Texier.
Arnaud has really stepped it up in recent years with his techno productions and hits the spot again with the disorienting techno roller which is Throby.
Our long time friends Jack In Out (James and Justin) have especially produced a brand new track for Algorhythms.
Redefined has Jack In Out’s signature punchy groove, disorienting stabs and atmospherics and a huge sub bass for maximum dancefloor damage.
Track 3 is by Italian techno producer MTD.
Nicola Belligoli aka MTD runs the label Sonntag Morgen and has a string of releases and remixers on several influential techno labels (including Retrometro where he released the stunning Random Thoughts EP).
His track Details is a hypnotic heavy grinding number!
To finish off the EP in style we welcome back Berliner Myk Derill.
Fresh from releasing on our imprint, on Knotweed and with forthcoming material coming out on Gynoid amongst others, Myk delivers one his signature techno/house no-nonsense dancefloor hitters called Span.

01 - Arnaud Le Texier - Throby

Gregor Tresher kicks off 2015 looking to break new soil with his first ever full release for John Digweed's Bedrock Records.   

Last year was as hectic as ever for the Gregor and he came into it on high from the success of his artist album Nightcolours and having closed out 2013 by releasing an astonishing Laurent Garnier remix of the title track, on his own imprint.   Time to relax a little maybe? Not a chance. January saw the remixed version of the album hit the stores and this was backed within a few weeks by 'Taurus', Gregor's enticing collaboration with Petar Dundov. The summer saw him remix the Chymera classic 'Shadowdancer' and he closed 2014 with the superb 'Midas / Disturber' double-header.   

Somewhat of a musical chameleon, Tresher is as at home creating deeper shades of house for the likes of Moon Harbour and Ovum as he is techno rhythms for Music Man, Cocoon and Drumcode.   With label boss Digweed a huge fan, Bedrock is yet another perfect fit for the German and he opens his account with the mighty, melodic and Kraken'esque 'Goliath' and the razor-sharp lightning bolt that is 'Stormblade'.

We here at Second State are thrilled to bring you our new concept entitled HUB. While most labels these days are doing various artists releases to showcase the overall talent on their label, we thought it would be better suited for both our listeners and ourselves to break the mold and bring you a series of true collaborations. Each HUB release will feature a single artist teaming up with others from the Second State family to create an EP of authentic musical compromises. A place where multiple minds find a harmony somewhere outside their own identity and each collaboration conceives a genuinely unique artifact. With this, there is no one we would rather have kick off the series than the man behind the massive EPs; 'Throwl' and 'Doch', Stephan Hinz with HUB One!

Stephan and Clint Stewart united to create a cosmic journey into the outer reaches of deep space with 'Shimmer'. The longest affair of the three, 'Shimmer' is the aural embodiment of hurtling through space as you look out the window into the vast never ending blackness. Yet, when you observe the star dust and cosmos against the onyx background, the colors are that much more vibrant and surreal.
