Arnaud Le Texier is back on Unrilis with another raw and hypnotic techno EP that features four tracks with industrial textures fused with warping synths to deliver high-octane grooves that have dark intensity.

Currently based in London (UK), Arnaud Le Texier is a master at balancing depth an energy, and this is his second time featuring on Unrilis. His music can also be heard on other highly influential imprints ranging from Affin to Soma, and he heads up his own record label, Children of Tomorrow.

The title track "Stub" takes control with its juddering melody.

In 2016, Anthro released his Trigger Happs EP on T/W/B, creating his own take on techno with industrial influences, which didn’t go unnoticed. After releasing more tracks and remixes on Sticky Ground, Pls.Uk and Genesa, he also started his own record label, Black Carpet. This label currently has 3 releases with tracks by heavyweights such as Ayarcana, HUREN, Ontal and Domenico Crisci.

For this podcast, he will showcase his new liveset containing unreleased material only.

At the age of 18, Berlin born & based Lars Huismann discovered producing with different software & hardware. Using these instruments he was able to transfer his patterns and sequences from the drum set onto a drum computer. He has always had a natural yearning to tweek his recordings and productions, and shape them into unrecognisable elements of sound.


In January 2015 he founded his own label, LHR, with the focus on deeply rooted warehouse techno. Lars Huismann Records is a journey in heavy melodic industrialesque techno music, built in a atmospheric and pulsating frame. LHR001 started with a full length EP and release party in Tresor Berlin. Four beautifully cut tracks that takes you on a journey through different areas of techno. It is an obsession in hard drilling percussion, banging synth-elements, and drums that roll together to create a more complex groove-pattern.

Thanks to a finely sorted selection, Lars Huismann comes out with this brilliant mix. Enjoy and don’t forget to share it if you like it!

PARADOX PODCAST #105 -- LARS HUISMANN

Phin is both inventive and refreshing, with a knack for turning her ambitions into reality. A longstanding member of the HTBX community, London-based Hannie has become a recurrent face in the scene since her first introduction to techno as a teenager. Since that initial shift in her musical awareness, her motivations became engrossed in plying her craft, subsequently guiding her into the sweeping London music culture in 2008. Cultivating an affiliation with the diverse and inclusive culture of key environments such as KAOS and Electrowerkz, Phin made the conscious decision to join the community in full force by honing her skills both behind the decks and in the studio, eventually swapping the dancefloor for the booth at the very venues she first admired. Having witnessed her determination to contribute to the ethics she valued, FOLD invited Hannie to play at UNFOLD 009, and alongside this recording of her face-melting set, we spoke to her about her ever-propelling lifestyle.

You launched your label 'Theory of Yesterday' back in 2019, with three EPs released in just one short year. What inspired you to create this label, and what is the concept behind the project?

I think it’s similar for a lot of DJs after a while - you want to play your own music too. It was as simple as wanting to release mine and other people’s music - to create something positive that I can grow with. The label is eclectic and will be more so as it grows; it’s a personal project and a space for me to express myself to others through music, and I love to have my freedom with it. I’ve also connected with more people outside my circle despite being London-based. Until 2018 my gigs were all in London but as a direct result of the label, I started travelling more for gigs. I’ll be back soon in Germany as people found me through TOY. The artists I’ve signed so far have been and are producing great music; it’s great to be the one to have released their first EPs. There’s lots more coming up, including a new act that I recently fell in love with… 

How did you find playing UNFOLD?

It was so much fun! I played something a bit different than my current sets - I went back to faster BPMs and acid sounds. This was how I’d started before I got into more industrial sounds. I’m happy that the more ravey sound’s made a return in London! It never left completely but you would only hear it at certain places in the last 10 years. It was an instant connection with the crowd.

How did UNFOLD's crowd feel compared to other parties you've played?

Unstoppable - ready for anything! That’s the motivation for me - to push myself a bit more. It’s obvious that FOLD brought together a lot of people that want to have a great time. People love being there; they feel safe, free and loved. Happiness was in the air the whole time. Most parties I play thankfully have a similar vibe; London is on fire with so many great events lately. UNFOLD is definitely one of the strong additions and people have adopted it as their second home. There's common ground with FOLD and other venues like Electrowerks and Kit Kat in that people are just there to dance and let go – thanks to the promoters. Thank you for having me!

You've been a staple of the HTBX family for some while now. How did they help develop your musical career and what special moments have you experienced with them?

HTBX is family and where I started taking things more seriously. From them, many more doors opened and they’ve always been very supportive. I don’t know how many HTBX events I’ve played at in the last 5 years but every one of them has been special. I feel a special connection with HTBX and it’s also very much to do with the core people that created it and due to the fact that I met a lot of people that I'm on the same page with through HTBX. I hope this feeling always stays the same as the party grows.

New Form Livestream I (April 2020)

Hey Guys, 

I scrolled through my recordbox last night and created a folder for this afternoon. Just a little freestyle session but I liked the result. I played a lot of this tracks only one/two times or never in the club. It was awesome for me to play well below 140 BPM again. Atmospheric, deep, with a lot of percussion or some breakbeat. In times of the lockdown, I just come back to playing other sounds. I love the industrial rave music (there will be another set, too soon) but for me there is a lot more than that. I hope you like it.

We are excited to present Duplicity 029 featuring over an hours worth of gritty and thumping techno, masterfully mixed together from @fausto_music!

FAUSTØ was born in the early 90's in Spain and is currently residing in Buenos Aires, where he's studying music production and further developing his DJ career, within the lively Argentinian techno scene. His sets are characterised through the use of powerful and hypnotic sounds that progressively merge, helping to build a very dark, tense and thrilling atmosphere.

As usual, turn up the volume and enjoy.

"The Feather EP" is Pushmann's debut on @combineaudio and comes bundled with remixes by techno heavy-weights DJ Rush, @ken-ishii-70drums and label boss @PaulaCazenave. 

Pushmann delivers two original techno tracks, "The Feather" and "The Liquid". A Detroit character among a clear and strong influence of European, Berlin and Birmingham style. His imaginary sound springs from the fast-paced, industrial and mechanical high-octane techno. Legendary producers DJ Rush and Ken Ishii provide a pair of remixes along with another reinterpretation by label-boss Paula Cazenave. 

DJ Rush's drenched his remix of "The Liquid" with bottom-heavy kickdrums and offbeat percussion while blending dirty atmospherics and subtle hypnotic synth sequences into a fantastic DJ tool. The profoundly dynamic reinterpretation of "The Liquid" by Ken Ishii features his trademark techno style: a massive drum section, brilliant arrangement and unique sound design. To wrap up the release, label-boss Paula Cazenave steps in with her trademark techno style: tight and heavy low-end, intricate percussive patterns, spacey pads and a synth patterns designed for a maximum narcotic effect.

Premiere: Pushmann "The Liquid" (DJ Rush Remix) - Combine Audio

For this 26th podcast, we invited Dunkel Dame (@dunkeldame) from Argentina.
Born in 87, Dunkel Dame started mixing electronic music in 2013 and from that moment did not stop: she has been seen in almost all the booths and events in Buenos Aires (capital and region). She took her music to some provinces such as Neuquen, Mendoza, Tierra del Fuego and Santa Cruz. She also played in Uruguay and Paraguay.

She told us: “I shared the booth with great national artists such as Pandy, Mariano DC, Miguel Silver, Luis Nieva, Jam’on, Diego Cid, among others and also with some international names such as Scalameriya, Shifted, Juliana Yamasaki and Sheefit.
My podcasts were streamed on many radio shows across the globe.

Since 2016, I have been a producer. My first EP for Clash & Splash came out in Ukraine. I continue to release my music in different parts of the world.
I was always a dark music fan and my love is divided between Acid and Industrial. My sets have fast, electric and energetic rhythms keeping the bpm at speed.
I recently founded NotDolls, a platform that promotes female DJs residing in the country. Making of Not Dolls the first crew of Female DJs in Argentina.”
