His ‘Netherwood’ EP is a time capsule back to his hometown Norwich, turning memories into alchemical moments, a sensory voyage of stripped-back breakbeat, travel intercom samples and ear-worm melodies.

This record is an indefinable sculpture of synth melodies nestled between weightless ambient, a shadow-cast realm of melancholy and introversion, joining the hands of broken beat and synth lines into a melodic collaboration, drunk on its private thoughts.

Sometimes, existential introspection happens through external movement. ‘Netherwood’ is a catalyst for those epiphanies."

1 year after releasing his 5th long-play “True, Necessary, Kind” Alexander Lay-Far prepared a conceptual follow-up - a compilation of remixes and reinterpretations from young underground heroes, new exciting talents as well as some well-seasoned producers.

Pursuing the original album’s philosophy, in the autumn of 2023 Lay-Far announced an open remix competition to share the inspiration spark, ignite the intercultural dialogue and officially release the top 3 reworks as a result. 
However it didn’t go according to the plan! Submissions poured in from Germany, Spain, The UK, USA, Russia, Ireland, Indonesia, South Africa, etc., exceeding the expectations of quantity and most importantly quality! After taking quite some time to review all the remixes - the best of the best were selected.

And there you have it - a vivid yet comprehensive compilation of 15 high-quality remixes by the likes of Ant To Be, Super JV, Marco Lazovic, Bleep, Hermanito, Anderdog, Fluchtlink, Jetelmen, etc., ranging from Street Soul to Jungle, Deep and Afro House, UK Bass, Techno, Intelligent D’N’B, Breakbeat and Electro. 
Please enjoy these sincere works manifesting real creativity, soulfulness and depth, produced by the truth-seeking souls at the cross-roads of existing cultures and scenes.

even though it's so much fun, this is probably gonna be the last behoward i enter for a while. i loved a lot of entries that didn't make top 10 this week and felt like some room for other producers is much needed. seeing the same group of people make the stream every week gets boring quickly i reckon. grateful for all the chances i got, love to the community including guy & howard. btw still gonna listen and vote every monday!
