This EP from German duo @not-even-noticed is a music production lover’s dream. Honestly, the sound design and production levels are just beyond belief in my opinion. Needless to say, they have been on heavy rotation since I first received the demos and they aren’t anywhere close to getting old yet.

They somehow straddle the line between beautiful soundscapes and absolute face melting, eyes rolling back, grabbing the person next to yours’s shoulders heat. Does that even make sense? Well I think you get what I mean.

The EP is out next Friday the 21st.

Slam Jams is always one of the most fun elements of Holding Hands to put together because I get to combine a wide variety of banging slammy jammy vibes from across the board in one place.

This time I’ve got one track from returning peak time maestros not even noticed, one from myself (Desert Sound Colony) and two from label newcomers Mr Jones and DJ Merlín. Each one has a different flavour and it’s fair to say each one slaps harder than a 17th century gentleman brandishing his white glove.

For the 8th compilation, FuFu Records gathered 8 artists from 5 different Asian countries. 

FuFu Records A&R (@MLCH) presents ‘88 - Double Happiness’ project, a compilation series of 8 tracks from Asian electronic music artists.
88 - Double Happiness comprises a mix of well-known artists and emerging talented producers who are showcasing the new sounds of Asia. It sonically explores the electronic musical scene coming all the diversity of Asian countries.

Each artist brought their own flavour to the compilation with their unique sounds and dance-worthy beats.

1. Stones Taro - Buri Buri (Japan)

4TGANG delivers his inimitable electro-garage-breaks signature sound with this 2 track EP ‘At Midnight’, rounded off with remixes from Memphis Glass and Larmour.

‘At Midnight’ ebbs and flows effortlessly underpinned by a swung electro beat, glitchy synth bass stabs and beautifully delicate piano chords. Larmour ups the energy levels a notch with a driving progressive spin, perfect for big rooms and sweaty basements alike.

Enveloping pads, skittered drum fills, ethereal vocals and deep subs make up ‘I Don’t Miss You’, creating a warming hazy feeling that wraps around you. Memphis Glass’ take is an unhurried house cut that strips the track back to its core and meticulously builds it back up again.
