When I wanted to clear my head on a weekend, I would take a walk. I would start at the Williamsburg Bridge, walk over to the lower east side, head over to the basketball courts on west 3rd, grab a snack on Macdougal, and then sit and watch the time pass in Washington square park. I would think about being at the center of it all, about the millions of people around me. It was isolating and inspiring and invigorating and scary. And I would think about leaving it all behind to move to California. 

This is the music that reminds me of those days, feeling free and trapped and open and plugged in, mainlining the pulse of civilization on NYC streets.
