Quite possibly my most popular remix ever, this one is certainly a fan favorite. I was inspired to remix this theme after hearing another artist’s take on the material as a judge on OCR. It’s such an epic melody and progression that I just wanted to take it to the next level and go over-the-top with suspenseful pads, choir and strings, sound effects and a full orchestra (film score style.) With big beats and heavy guitars, of course. Even though I made this in 2007, I’m very proud of it!

Misguided Thoughts

The sun lies just under the horizon, illuminating flaming chunks of space station falling to the Earth. Pieces of metal rocketing towards the planet, causing shockwaves and reverberating sounds to echo across the landscape. The largest of them all was the remainder of the space station, Eden. It had remained in orbit for tens of thousands of years, allowing almost a hundred thousand generations of humans to thrive inside. It was as large as the moon, and housed hundreds of species of Earths animals as well. It was now raining down on the desolate planet in a tragically beautiful sight of dozens of balls of fire illuminated by the dying daylight. Humans would have to return to their old home, thought to be inhospitable. They would soon realize it's been lush and clean for over a thousand years, and find the new inhabitants aren't welcoming them with open arms.
