Tuesday Plans

Formed in late 2011 Lock Up Laura burst onto Lincoln’s music scene playing at local venues with their crashing guitar riffs and soaring melodic vocals. With their army of loyal fans in tow, they soon quickly caught the interest of local promoters and radio stations all begging to know the answer to the question ‘Who is Laura?’ This Buzz quickly enabled the lads to establish themselves as a permanent fixture in Lincoln’s ever growing music scene. Although collectively influenced by an ‘American Style’ sound, each member of Lock Up Laura brings something unique to the table. Stampeding drums, cutting guitar riffs and lifting vocals, these guys definitely live up to the hype.

I approach creating music like a software engineer and write software like music. I'll iterate a tune from an early seed idea and let it take life on its own and becomes a living entity that can evolve over time. And software that I write - I try to write pop hits.

I like to keep pieces short - it is perhaps a reflection of our digital age, requirement to get to the point - like a 140 character tweet, stream faster, take less storage, faster in-memory DAW processing - or as most of US, have been conditioned to the sound-byte, short-attention span of the modern music user.
