Wandering Wondering is a song created by Indonesian artists Reuben Nathaniel and Jason Mountario in their very first single collaboration.  

The piece speaks about Reuben's limbo of wanting to leave the world, yet finding himself desiring to return once enabled to imagine where he could be escaping towards. This narrative inspired Jason to create a universe that explores sorrow and gloom, yet emotionally uplifting, resulting in an epic 7 minutes musical journey. 

All the sounds were constructed with idiosyncratic recording techniques. Reimagining the use of purely acoustic instruments before manipulating them with analogue effects and digital technologies, with every little details crafted solely to serve the music.

"Where did I go wrong?" is a question that comes up a lot in my mind. "Last week I did everything well, everything flowed in perfect rhythm, everything went right, but not this morning."

I think it's funny how we often give too much credit to ourselves in these situations, forgetting that without grace we can't do "simple" things like loving one another, caring, be happy, and even make music.

How To Safe A Life (The Fray Cover)

We were on the way home from Kuala Lumpur when I stumbled upon the unfinished recording of this song on my iPad. Playing around the track proved to be a very enjoyable way to kill the long hour on the airplane. Haha! 

One of my favorite classic song by Arthur Hamilton that i tried to learn several months ago :) 

Anyways, we had a very nice trip to KL and met 
some really nice people (Most were from our record label SME) there, whom we were also given a chance to share our music with, which again really humbled us. 

It's amazing how God created this world, with that many different nations, culture, people in it, yet with many different means (music is one) we can connect and communicate with one another. All are created unique, very different but given the same grace and even we, Indonesians, Malaysians, everyone of us seem to be prone to think that the world is a small place, and worse, one must be placed above the other for many selfish reason. I'm starting to see that we are all made to help, and support one another. As nations too for sure!

I really hope we can comeback one day, to share the grace that's been given to us in Indonesia. Thankyou for the really warm welcome, KL! Malaysia Boleh :D

Reading the gospel of Matthew marked one the most profound moment I experienced during the course of year 2016. Turning 20 proved to be quite an experience. Made the year approaching it much longer, tougher and weightier, than I ever thought it would be.

Everybody Hurts

They say, “Write from what you go through and from what you hope to see when you peek into the future.” We’ve been living in a really difficult time of pain and losses. At times, even hoping can feel unjust, silly, impossible.

Yet there are still many moments where we find ourselves saying, “I wish this part of life lasts forever, I wish more people can enjoy this, Oh I never thought constantly having family around would be this sweet.” - and maybe precisely because of the circumstances we are situated in we can no longer take these “little” things for granted. As pessimistic as naturally I can be, I find myself still hoping that things can get better, and the lost treasures of human living we found throughout this challenging season can be preserved, renewed and brought into the future.

I guess this is the best way I can express mine at this moment, hope exacerbates and eases itself in its articulation. Enjoy!
