When you make a mix, you’re just showing everybody what you like. So, I guess my favorite part is the personal connection with the fans. I’m sure a lot of people wouldn’t expect a mix from me to have everything from trap to moombah, but now they know me a little better. I think that’s cool.

Herobust Akomplice Mix (2013)

In 2012, when Julio was bored (and probably high), he started messing around with heavily hip-hop inspired track ideas -- mostly quick, one-minute long tracks he’d post to his personal SoundCloud page.

Fans quickly started asking about these experimental tracks -- the concepts, however, never developed into fully-formed tracks, as they were never intended to be officially released.

Over the years, the series has become known as JWLS IS BORED, and its components have developed a cult-like following. Fans notoriously seek JIB tracks as some of the most in-demand unreleased music of its kind.

In anticipation of their debut full-length studio album, GTA wanted to do something special for their diehard, longtime fans. Julio has now developed and completed the JWLS IS BORED concept and GTA is giving it away for free download.
