Bio: 

Bohdan is a producer and DJ from Kyiv, one of the Ukrainian deep and hypnotic techno scene representatives. Half of the electronic project Asyncronous and founder of the ÆNIGMA events.

Short interview with Bohdan:

1.Background/the start:

"I have a rather long background story of drum'n'bass DJ, which smoothly turned into studio work with completely different music. I've always gravitated towards production, looking for a sound that would reflect the fullest spectrum of my musical preferences. The result wasn't connected or focused directly on techno, since I'm more interested not in the genre itself, but in the aesthetics of atmospheric sounds, hypnotic components and complex musicality, which allows you to create something more than just a dance groove".

2. Inspiration:

"I travel a lot, read a lot, fond of photography and documentaries, learning more about the traditions and culture of different eras and territories. All this gives a lot of food for thought and, of course, influences creativity. Ideas can come during a long walk in the woods or a train trip, you know, when looking through the window. Basically, nature itself is a greatest source of inspiration. At least I think art is the second most beautiful thing, first comes nature."

3. Artist situation/Local techno scene? 

"The Ukrainian scene has existed for a long time, although the world drew attention to it only 7-8 years ago. Now the scene is in its prime, thanks to the talented and distinctive artists, remarkable events and venues. It is important to note that Ukraine was one of the first countries in Europe to lift restrictions on night events after lockdown. So Kyiv has become one of the most popular destinations for artists and party people over the past few months."


4. Future:

"The current situation in the world forces us to talk less about plans and work more on current projects. Hope that next year will allow to embody much more than the previous ones. That's what I wish to all of us."

More and more I’ve realising that as humans and artists we create space and also invite each other into these spaces. With space I’m referring to all dimensions; e.g. physical, emotional, psychological, mental. 
Some natural and highly relevant questions comes with this understanding: With what intention am I taking part in creating the world? How are my invitation affecting the world we live in? Can I contribute to the changes needed to allow balance and sustainability in the world? 

I strongly feel that all beings are fundamentally the flow of creativity and for all humans it’s essential to find one’s own way/channel to express this creativity. By doing this we naturally allow the balance needed to express in a sustainable way.
As an artist I know that I have potential to invite others to remember this. 

I’m so inspired and happy to see the Earth Percentage project taking form, making it possible for me as an artist to contribute to one of the most important challenges we as humanity are facing.

Chris from Lyon, France is The Unknown Psychologist

It's the first recommendation for 2020 and also the first one after a long brake. I was looking forward to work with Chris so much. Finally we made it happen.
I (visited) listened to every Therapy from The Unknown Psychologist in the last years. He knows how to heal his audience with the power of electronic music and knows how to create a positive cosy mood to his listeners. It's completely Underground, Dark, Melodic, Dub, Ambient. A simple word: Techno!
I would say he inspired me a lot with his music the last to years, so give him a listen as well. <3 

Bio:
Chris has fallen into electronic music since a young age ... already in the 80's, he had fun creating beats on Amstrad! In the 90s, he discovers the mix, first on vinyls, then for more than 15 years in digital.
His early musical influences are tinged with EBM Industrial (Front 242, Cabaret Voltaire, Front Line Assembly ...), then the time of the first Raves led him to the Hard Techno. After exploring a lot of style, Chris navigates now between deep, dub and hypnotic Techno
