The ”birds & frogs EP” from Steve Knots contains six tracks from his full album which was produced in Prague, Czech Republic during winter/ spring 2014.
Steve Knots’ production brings deep basslines and clicky beats combined with organic percussion instruments, found sound recordings, and sounds of Nature.
For this EP we selected four of the faster tek tracks and bookended them with two selections of a calmer vibe.
You will hear scenes from street life mixed in with the music -- trams, doors opening and closing, birds (of course), and other sonic surprises merging with the rhythms of the sound.
Special thanks to Lucia Gogolakova for background voice on "Melting Pot" and Tom Leveccia for metal drums percussion on "Droplets".

After a recent media surge surrounding their visibility project mentioned by Bjork, Fader, LA Weekly, female:pressure has scheduled an exclusive release on Beatport for the 25th of June, is Female:Pressure Revellers Comp 1, through Reveller Records. It will be available in other digital stores and for streaming four weeks later. All profits from the compilation will fund their next edition of the Perspectives Festival in Berlin. Covering 15 tracks near 90 minutes, the compilation is mostly dance focussed while featuring a variety of genres including House, Techno and eclectic Electronica. The result is a journey of grooves and vibes with captivating beats, textures and climaxes.

Reveller Records is a Berlin based label, party series and collective with a roster of at least 50% women. It’s founder and management are also members of Female:Pressure.

With this, her 2nd EP on Reveller, Sky Deep reveals a combo of her musical history and mind. Berlin based for 1 year now, Sky Deep was raised in the Los Angeles and NYC areas with a background in HipHop, Rock, Gospel and Funk. These tracks are a G-house and galactic-space flavored demonstration of her production.

1. 'Thinking of You' is a heady, deep house  groove with a big space bass.

2. 'BreathE' (Vocal Mix) has a house  feel with G-funk vocals, tech style modulations and gritty bass.

3. 'BreathE' (No-Vox Mix) - If you're into the modulations and sound design in this track, here's a version without vocals.

4. 'Humping Horns' boasts leading trumpets and pianos with pumping hood style drums.

5. 'Space Tribe Orgy' is a banging journey on a shuttle from to a freaky party on planet Jupiter.

Sky Deep - Thinking of You (Original Mix)

Reveller Records will release the soundtrack to When We Are Together We Can Be Everywhere — Marit Ostberg’s creation which is a feature porn documentary premiered at the Berlin Porn Film Festival in October 2015.

This is a film with many layers. It is a sexy, sweaty hot porn. It is a film about making porn. It’s a film about the relations between the people behind and in front of the camera. It is a film about friendship and sex. It is a love letter from Marit, the director, to her star, Liz. It is a directors longing back to the collective space that was created during the shooting of the film. It is a porn that wants to become reality. It is a porn that was reality while it was shot. The film has shown at several festivals and theatres around Berlin and the world.

The soundtrack which will be released on CD and in digital in Late March 2016, includes music from The Knife, Karin Dreijer (The Knife; Fever Ray), Oni Ayhun, Borusiade and Mad Kate | the Tide. And some unreleased and new songs from LIGHT ASYLUM, Borusiade, JHNA and Sky Deep.

The songs are a collection of dark ambience with synth music, folk/rock and finished out with more dance oriented sounds. There will be eleven tracks on the CD and twelve tracks available on the digital release. The soundtrack will not be available for streaming. The two bonus tracks by Sky Deep are not in the film. They were created as remixes using sampled audio from some film scenes. Marit Ostberg requested a remix using film audio and Sky Deep as the engineer for the final audio mix was the first candidate.

This edit is on sale. As a small gesture, every sale @Hyenaz and @Paula Temple will personally double and the whole amount will go to the Berlin Refugee Movement, an organisation in Berlin who tirelessly provide help to refugees and fight for their rights. They are in constant need of resources and money to pay lawyers fees, run education tours, or provide food and activities for mental health relief. 

So many assumptions are made about why people choose to move, who has the right to move, and who does not, who can simply travel on a whim and who must risk everything to leave their lands for others. Our sense of time and space is increasingly unbounded, as access to knowledge, art and the public sphere shared through electronically mediated communication. Yet so many still have to risk death or internment to cross national borders physically, with access to migration arbitrarily determined by pieces of paper distributed along class and racial lines.

We were inspired by Paula's powerful track Gegen, whose title refers to the German word for “against” and already expresses the dichotomous terms in which media and political discourses discuss migration: Are you for or against migration? How do “we” oppose the “others” who are against “our” way of life. The urgency of its siren-like lead synth speaks to the militarised policing of national borders and the desperation that pushes people to risk everything in order to exercise the human right to move freely.
