It's 2023 and Volume 11 of my pilgrimage into deep electronic rhythms for the mind, body and soul is right here.  There's been some amazing music released this year and here are some of my favourites with a few old gems thrown in to steady the ship.

With “Road to Solace,” JÏMONO distils melodic Afro tech to its essence: bold synth motifs, metallic percussion that shimmers and strikes, and a deep, rolling groove holding everything in place. The track unfolds with patient momentum, layering tuned hits, complex textures, and rising synths work into a warm, widescreen sound. It’s the kind of cut that locks a dance floor without shouting, drawing you forward bar by bar.
The arrangement favours feel over flash. Rhythms interlock and breathe, synth lines answer one another, and subtle FX swells keep the energy in motion. Hints of classic melodics sit alongside Afro-percussive push and pull, landing in that modern space where atmosphere and movement carry equal weight. Whether opening a sunset set or peaking a late-night run, “Road to Solace” is built for long blends and heads-down immersion.
