Absolutely smashing stuff from the Glaswegian hotshot here, taken from an EP of 3 tracks with identical drum tracks but a variation of chopped up samples on each. 'Part II' is our favourite, the garage-inflected rhythm peppered with a springy bass funk groove and disorientating Rhodesy chord patterns. Pure groove.

While waiting for the third 7-inch vinyl of the Apparel Wax MINI series (due to be released in early 2024), let’s introduce the first single of the record: MINI003A1. This superb tracks drops in mid-December and features some classic Funky-House styling cues, such as sirenic string pads, glamorous funk guitar riffs, a vivacious saxophone and flute solo and a nice rhythmic piano in the background, giving the track a premium feel. MINI003A1 fits exquisitely into the Apparel Wax sonic vocabulary, where electronic music smoothly connects with live music, played by great musicians and put together by great producers.
