Emily Yacina grew up outside of Philadelphia and began writing songs in 2010 at the age of 14. Equipped with a microphone and an acoustic guitar, she used her experiences to write and self-produce honest songs about relationships and the sentimental effects that come with them. Since then, Emily has self-­released dozens of songs on her Bandcamp page, which has gained a modest following throughout the years.

In January of 2015, Emily quietly released 'Pull Through'​, a short but melodically captivating EP that deals with the darker side of an entangling relationship. The EP took Emily’s expressive songwriting to the next level and since it’s release, 'P​ull Through' ​has been acclaimed by music critics and musicians alike, with ​The FADER ​calling it “one of the year’s prettiest EPs.”
