"Wu-Tang's Maneater" is the first track off of Ballin' Oates, my third EP focusing on remixes of classic artists. To create this track, I completely replayed and remixed "Maneater" by Hall & Oates, producing a new beat and flipping the instrumental. I then added the vocals from Wu-Tang's "C.R.E.A.M." The entire 5 track EP will be out later this week!

"I Don't Like It" began when Blondtron and Waspy were offered local BC mushrooms while experimenting in the studio. After the initial tingly feeling subsided, euphoria kicked in and the track essentially created itself. The vocal sample mysteriously appeared on the computer hard drive and to this day can't be tracked down unless you're researching obscure 90's hard house music. 

Last Thursday, during the duo's very first ever show at the Rifflandia Festival in Victoria, "I Don't Like It" was played for the first time. It was so hype, one of the dancers broke a coffee table in half and Blondtron punched through the ceiling tiles like Bruce Willis in Die Hard screaming "Fuck you Hans Gruber!".

After cancellation, its story was continued in 1980 as Galactica 1980 with Adama, Lieutenant Boomer (now a colonel) and Boxey (now called Troy) being the only continuing characters. Kate Bush released a cover of "Rocket Man" in 1991 as part of the Elton John/Bernie Taupin tribute album Two Rooms: Celebrating the Songs of Elton John &amp; Bernie Taupin. Her reggae-inflected version of "Rocket Man" was a commercial success, reaching #12 on the UK singles chart and #2 in Australia (held off the top spot by Julian Lennon's "Saltwater"). In 2007, the track won The Observer readers' award for Greatest Cover of all time.[6] The B-side of the single was Bush's recording of another Elton John classic, "Candle in the Wind".
“From the age of 11, Elton John was my biggest hero. I loved his music, had all his albums and I hoped one day I'd play the piano like him (I still do). When I asked to be involved in this project and was given the choice of a track it was like being asked ‘would you like to fulfil a dream? would you like to be Rocket Man?’... yes, I would."
This is a fairly gentle dubstep re-edit.
