DJ/Producer Illegal was born in Chennai, India. Currently living in Bay Area, California.

He grew up listening to Electronic and Techno music and working as a Software Engineer since the age of 22. 
At the age of 24 he realized that he could use his Techno knowledge to express his own Personality. Not long after he could use his Software knowledge and musical knowledge by playing and learning more deeply about Techno. When he lived in Munich, Germany his interest in Techno music got serious and started exploring Techno culture and digging more into dark and underground music. 
He played his DJ set in clubs located in Bangalore, Munich, Phoenix, San Francisco and San Jose. Because of his deep knowledge in Techno he did the opening for Dustin Zahn. In DJ-sets he plays lots of tracks of his idols and mixes with his own production.
He also collaborated with Techno Snobs (Phoenix), EOM (San Jose). At the age of 27 he realized that he could use his knowledge on music production and started learning to produce music. He likes to add dark, industrial elements in production. Also add some Indian music elements. He produces his music by using raw and deep basslines with some fresh highs.
Currently learning how to play live sets using Drum machines, 303 and Synthesizers.
His Music Production is influenced by some amazing talents like, 999999999, Vendex, SNTSS, Cassie Raptor, Zamilska, VTSS, Nakadia, ABVSD, etc.
He is always looking for something new in techno.

"I would describe this podcast as an industrial, atmospheric podcast that progressively becomes more intense but also noisier. In this podcast I feel there are some peaks and troughs in terms of intensity which ends with the faster, more hard hitting tracks that feature heavier kicks, noisy elements, and more percussive sounds.

I think sonically this is one of my darker sets, it is a sound I am drawn to more as of late. I gravitated towards powerful, expressive, and exhilarating tracks this time around. I’m also excited to have been able to play an unreleased track of mine.

I recorded this at home with the first and only piece of DJing equipment I bought myself three years ago, something I have stuck with since."

"I started collecting techno records and DJing when I was living in the UK and France. In France I have played with Suara label boss Coyu in Toulouse and at ELECTRO ALTERNATIVE FESTIVAL LES ABATTOIRS with Jeff Mills and Under Black Helmet.

In Tokyo I play regularly at White Space Lab, Aoyama Hachi, every 3rd saturday of the month @ en-sof Tokyo for United Techno Familia and many others.

I play a wide range of Techno styles including deep, minimal, industrial, Acid techno, old school techno, Detroit techno and my goal is always to lead the audience to the dance floor and develop an energetic and exciting musical journey."
