A veritable powerhouse of the Croatian techno scene Insolate has been establishing a global presence as a DJ and producer for over 20 years delivering as both a label boss at Out Of Place and the creative force behind their electrifying TRAUM events. Hailing from Osijek, Croatia, on the wide Croatian East – a town that at first glance a heavy industrial atmosphere overshadows, she is making her first steps as a DJ back in 1997 before taking over European and worldwide clubs.

As a DJ, Insolate is well known for her no-compromise, pure-bred techno sets. It's clear to anyone who's seen her perform that she's an artist with a lot of experience but also plenty of inspiration and ambition, and a deep knowledge of techno. She is simply a natural presence in a DJ booth. If you've seen her play, you will know exactly what this means.

At the helm of his own eponymous record label, Chawla has been serving up some of the most corrosive, jaw-breaking, knee-buckling material in the field of industrial techno, one you can definitely rely on when in need for a full mental reset, but also some of the most intriguing beatless, ambient-friendly gems at times. More regularly dishing out trampling kicks by the dozen, and as many snare uppercuts in near subliminal fashion so much your ears are filled to the brim with that thick and oily assembly-line thunder, Amotik drags us by the feet straight into the furnace. We are psyked to host the Madrid-Berlin based artist Psyk, who stands as a solid staple of the current techno scene. The versatility and maturity of his sound and the breadth of his knowledge are clearly displayed in his discography, from feverish tracks like "Arcade" or "Eclipse" to deeper cuts like "Lowdown" or "Fall from Grace". His acclaimed debut album "Time Foundation" on Luke Slater's Mote Evolver was followed up by multiple successful releases on labels such as Tresor Imprint and FUSE imprint among others. A regular at venues like Berghain, DeSchool or Fabric, Psyk has been around the globe sharing his unique blend of techno with the world. The attention to detail and craftsmanship he displays in his own productions has earned him well-deserved praise by industry heavyweights time and time again, be it on his own label Non-Series or elsewhere.

This month Pfirter invites Netherlands-born and Belgium-based DJ and producer JRD. Real name Jordy Roelands he started as a founding member of the Dutch Resistance concept in Antwerp (electro and techno) and later became one of the resident powers at Technoir (techno). Recently he took his first steps into producing his original music, as he did by releasing the track 'Purple Blades' on the Token 97 compilation 'Fuga II' as well as 'The Chaser' on MindTrip's Mutable Minds V compilation.
