Ngagi choelu masong composed and first sung in 1986 by Thinley Gyamtsho. This is a cover by Sonam Wangchen and Singay Wangmo with music by M-Studio Bhutan. This is the first song in a series of songs that will be produced as a tribute to Thinley Gyamtsho and Tashi Gyelsthen, who gave us the popular 1980s hits and were very instrumental in the birth of Bhutanese popular "rigsar" music.

Like all Bhutanese, I remain a proud citizen of the glorious Drukyul - a country blessed by many sublime teachers, extraordinary Monarchs and gentle people. 

Growing up as a young boy, exposed and influenced by all kinds of information, made me look deeper into my own roots; to find out, what is it about my identity as a Bhutanese that made me feel special in a highly interconnected and a globalised world. 

In my opinion, amongst many of the reasons each of us have, for me it whittles down mainly to our values of 'Ley-Ju-Drey' and 'Tha-Damtshik', that have been passed on from generation to generation by our forbearers. Appreciating Karma, applying love and kindness in our daily lives and to remain steadfast in our commitment to a strong sense of responsibility to our collective wellbeing. Values that many of us hold close to our hearts, makes me feel immensely blessed to be born in Bhutan. 

As we evolve as a nation and society, I pray that peace, harmony and happiness prevail for all times. I released this song in 2008.
