While Dave appreciates a diverse range of music genres, his heart always leads him back to the high-energy world of speed garage and uplifting house. He has a deep-seated affection for the old 90s Dutch sound, which left an indelible mark on the illegal rave scene during his youth. Dave's speed garage tastes lean towards the moody, and his expression says it all - if it's speed garage, you can bet his face will reflect his enthusiasm. #ScrewFace

Dave firmly believes that speed garage is poised for a significant resurgence in the near future, and he's determined to ride that wave. He's not just a DJ; he's also a passionate producer, and his excitement is palpable, especially since he's signed with Criminal Records, a label backed by a management team with a stellar track record.

In terms of influences, Dave's idols are speed garage legend Jeremy Sylvester, who he's had the privilege of meeting through his Criminal Records connection. He's also captivated by the dark and moody sound brought by BK298, with its classic 90s speed garage vibe. Dave's list wouldn't be complete without mentioning the pioneers who laid the foundation for speed garage: Armand van Helden and Todd Terry.

When asked about his all-time favorite record, Dave faces a tough choice. However, he singles out "CRW - I Feel Love (R.A.F Zone Mix)" as the epitome of the moody brilliance he adores in speed garage. It encapsulates everything he loves about the genre.

With a deep-rooted passion for speed garage and a commitment to its resurgence, Dave Lavender is an artist to watch in the electronic music world. Keep an ear out for his sets and productions, as he rides the wave of the genre's revival with unwavering enthusiasm and dedication.
