Never Go Away

This time, I remixed the track "Keep it Groovin" from Streets of Rage (Sega Genesis 1991). I always considered streets of rage's sound track as one of the best of all time and this specific track is my favorite of the series. I've attempted a blend of light hip-hop, chillout and groovy music for this remix.


'Twilight Groove' - Streets of Rage

Here's the final version of the song:

1. Piano now has a arpeggio layer underneath to sound more natural
2. Both sax re-recorded to sound as human as possible
3. Flute sample replaced with the one with less vibration (also added some breath effects to make it sound more real)
4. Some chords progression re-written.

This mix is now ready for OCR submission. I won't be doing any more changes to it. It's now time to move on to another project.

'Ignitive Emotions' - Outrun 2019

If you have not played Elemental Master, go check it out. Not only a great game but has an amazing sound track composed by Toshiharu Yamanishi released in 1993 on Sega Genesis.

I wanted to mix more than one sources from Elemental Masters but felt somewhat limited with the style I chose. So I decided to add title tune of Eternal Champions and ending the track with Chrono Cross title theme  'Time's Scar'. 

I know, Time's Scar deserves more than just bits and pieces and I promise I'll remix it as a main track one day. For now, enjoy this track which is a bit unusual but should familiar at the same time. Besides, no body is doing 80's rock these anymore so I decided to blend it with RnB. Hope you'll like it.

I'm sure most of us have some incredibly cherished moments from our childhood playing Mighty Final Fight, Mega Man (and for some of us Captain Tsubasa too :D). I started this mix with complete intention of mixing all sources I've used. But instead of using actual source from Mega Man 2, I decided to use AkumajoBelmont's "For You" which, IMO, is not only way better than the original, but also one of the best videogame remixes out there; so this is my way of paying tribute to it.

The idea was to combine Chillout and Rock styles while retaining the chiptunish soul of the sources. I hope you like the remix, the transitions and overall sound.

This is my personal reimagining of “Keh Do” from Awaz (1993) — a song that left a lasting impression and continues to resonate decades later. The inspiration for this track came from Sabrina actually. I've been wanting to do a vocal track for a very long time and after listening to Sabrina's covers; I asked her if she would like to do a collab, and she agreed.

From the beginning, I intended to mix "Song of the Ancients" with "Gerudo Valley" in a (super) chillout style. One Sabrina's vocals are in, I think this will sound much much better.

This is my first ever track featuring vocals. "Song of the Ancients" cannot be remixed without those beautiful vocals. Sabrina has provided her amazing voice for this track. Since it is Sabi's first submission to OCR, I didn't want to take any risks and chose a style I'm most comfortable with (Chillout). The track has been converted to 4/4 and "Gerudo Valley" blends in between vocal breaks. The intro and ending is original writing because the source didn't have any of those (and I hate fade-out endings).

Tons of work has been done in terms of mixing vocals with the rest of the instruments. I personally love Sabrina's work here. We hope you enjoy it :D

MGS series is my most favorite games of all times. I have been looking for a way I can pay my long overdue tribute to the series and finally decided to do a “Snake Eater” remix with elements from all other major games in the series.

Of course, it wasn’t possible without a female vocalist and I consider myself lucky to have Claire provided her vocals. What an amazing voice she has. Her beautiful voice has all the power, range and passion that was required for this track. IMO, she far exceeded all the expectation I had with the track.

As for the arrangement, I didn’t have any particular style in mind when creating this but I wanted to give that 80’s pop/ballad feel to the track. I had a very good time making this track.

Hope you enjoy this collaboration. I know I will be working with Claire for more songs to come :D

'Innocent Deception' [Vocal] - Metal Gear Solid 1/2/3/4

This is the second time I am revisiting this song (last time was 10 years ago). It's one of my favorite video game songs.

The mix starts with a piano riff taken from Lost Odyssey - Parting Forever. Since the source is very short, I merged it one of my own songs I wrote some 10 years ago. Hope you'll like it.

'Bleeding Guns' - Sunset Riders

I just can't keep myself from blending in multiple sources. This is mainly Maya's Theme remix from Persona 2 that starts off with bits and pieces from Mining Melancholy and Persona 2's world map. Magical Sound Shower acts as a bridge before I switch back to Maya's Theme. Ending is all original stuff. I really wanted to make a pure 80's pop song so you can expect to hear all sorts of 80's instruments. I love 80's to death and was really looking for a way to pay my tribute. I hope you guys like like, I had a lot of fun making this track :D

'Timeless Devotion' - Persona 2 / Donkey Kong Country 2 / Outrun

For eternity (probably eversince I saw first trailer of XenoSaga back then), I thought that "Kokoro" (XenoSaga) and "If you still believe" (LoD) can be mixed into one track and even the lyrics would make sense. So here I am trying to re-imagine both songs into one. I started the song with some original writing to set the mood of the song. I could write original stuff between vocal breaks as well but that's not what I usually do so xenoblade and cammy are just supporting elements here :D I wouldn't even call it a remix of Xenoblade or Street Fighter. They are only mentioned to ensure credit is given where it is due. Both Xenoblade and Street Fighter are there to keep the listener's interest level up (since the mix is 7.3 minutes long). This is still mainly a XenoSaga/Legend of Dragoon remix.

Claire, once again, has done an amazing job. Her vocals made the song 10 times better than what I could do without them. She went an extra mile to record supporting elements (adlib etc.). I love how she improvises a lot and always try to make the song her own. 

I, myself is surprised how well the two songs (from totally different games) work together. We hope you enjoy this track. Thanks for listening :D

Being a huge fan of Nobuo Uematsu, I always wanted to arrange one of his compositions. "Suteki Da Ne" is one of my all time favorite videogame songs so that was a natural choice. From the beginning, it was intended to mix it with Shenhue's "Sha Hua" but I never found inspiration to do this track. Not until I played The Last Story and fell in love with "Toberu Mono". It feels like a spiritual successor to "Suteki Da Ne" which gave me inspiration to blend both tracks. So that how I ended up with this mix.

This time around, I get this fantastic oppurtunity to work with some great fellow musicians. Sabrina strikes again with her awesome vocals. Her soft and sweet voice fits the song's mood perfectly. Magellanic has provided some really great guitar pieces (both Acoustic and electric) that sets the foundation of the track. And lasty, Amaterasu's violin pieces takes the mix to another level.

Instead of having an instrumental lead during the (Tobeu Mono) bridge, we decided to have Sabi hum the piece which resulted in a very soothing sound.

We really enjoyed working together to make this track. Hope you enjoy it as well :)

Tanhaaiyan (Desolation)

I always loved Konami World on NES and always hoped that this type of game would become common and we get to play games like Capcom universe or Sega Galaxy. Unfortunately, that never happened. This is a remix of Fuuma's theme which is present in both Konami World and his own game GetsuuFuu Maden

This track has been re-written from scratch. Enough with the downbeat chill mixes . I'm trying to do a Turkish disco this time around upping the rhythm a little. Hope you guys like it.
