Matias Tchianeke Doran, mais conhecido por Texas Guitarrista (nome artístico) tinha 10 anos quando pegou a guitarra de seu pai e com ele começou a aprender a tocar, imitando as músicas africanas que ouvia na rádio. 

As suas primeiras apresentações foram na Igreja Tocoísta do Lobito, um dos municípios da província onde nasceu e começou a sua carreira, Benguela. 

Alguns anos depois da sua evolução musical, por influência do seu pai Augusto Feliciano Doran, actualmente baixista da banda Voga, Texas passou a fazer parte da banda KS, um dos renomados grupos da sua terra natal.  

A carreira do menino do Lobito começou a ter um grande impulso após a sua brilhante aparição na Gala à Sexta-feira, um programa de concurso musical, realizado pela Televisão Pública de Angola, solando na guitarra a música intitulada "Baninga", do falecido cantor congolês, Franco Luambo, uma figura importante na música congolesa do século XX e na música africana em geral. 

Matias Tchianeke Doran (Texas Guitarrista) destacou-se mais ainda depois de ingressar na Banda Voga, em Luanda, e posteriormente depois da sua performance musical no Brasil, numa das edições do programa de TV, Altas Horas, no Brasil, com o cantor angolano Yuri da Cunha. 

Ao longo da sua trajectória depois da sua mudança definitiva para Luanda, Texas participou em trabalhos de vários músicos renomados da nossa praça, deixando em evidência o seu talento nas músicas de Yola Semedo, Konde, Pérola, Halison Paixão, Gerilson Insrael, Puto Português, Miguel Buila, Kelly Silva, Eddy Tussa, Yuri da Cunha entre outras grandes figuras da nossa praça.  

Por via do seu desempenho e desenvolvimento musical, Texas passou a  fazer também várias produções musicais que se tornaram hit's na nossa praça.
