Rïa Mehta and Sean Ae actually are in 'Far Away Places', but if there is one thing they are not, is strangers: their intercontinental connection through music has made them a great team, often working on projects simultaneously despite being half a world apart! On their Inner Shah debut, they present an original idea called 'Far Away Places' explored on two different eclectic versions: the Sunrise Mix, which is deeper and organic; and the Midnight Mix, which is a powerful afro house dance tool full of melodic elements. Both versions feature African chants and dreamy synths, two characteristics also present in the artists' past work together.

PREMIERE: Rïa Mehta & Sean Ae - Far Away Places (Sunrise Mix) [Inner Shah]

Summer is slowly coming to an end, and Pitto is bringing you the perfect soundtrack for just that. A four-track EP with a smile on its face and melancholy in its eyes.


First up is Pitto’s „Burn for Love“, featuring Archie Juno on keys. Its uplifting string arpeggios and heartfelt shiny synths make it a proper festival anthem. 


Track two „Run Away“ is a stripped down stomper with an 80s bassline, spiced up with bright sprinkles of synth and Pitto’s own singing. 


„Galaxy Mountains“, the third track, which again was assisted by Archie Juno on keys, is like an 80s movie set in Miami: constantly shifting between drama and harmony. Think arp bass, choir-esque synths, driving percussions, and a touch of tropical temperatures. 

And closing off the record is „Bumper“, which transports you right into a high speed car chase through a small southern Italian town at sunset. After all this excitement, how about we just lay down by the pool and enjoy the last rays of sunshine?

Halle’s dynamic duo, Monkey Safari return to their beloved Hommage imprint after being away from the label for more then a year. With their beautifully crafted “Cranes” release they will surely make up for their long absence in a big way. Even looking at the names of the remixers in charge will leave every music lover very excited.

“Cranes” takes it’s time before introducing the bass drum, a bit more then two minutes to be exact. Monkey Safari get you in the mood with laid back, morphing spheric sounds and teasing percussion. The heavenly, slightly pitched down vocal will trigger a whole array of emotions before the journey even begins. Acoustic sounds combined with sleek piano chords and well placed break downs will make “Cranes” stay in your favorites list for months to come.

Everybody’s darling Kölsch is presenting the first remix. Kölsch is changing up the low frequencies as he adds layers of synthesizer progressions and a heavier bass drum. Sharp percussion and saw tooth sounds are drilling themselves through over ten minutes of musical bliss, but always leave enough space for the vocal to breath. 

Wolf + Lamb are closing out the release with their funk injected version. The lively acoustic drum programming breathes a different life into the track and takes it to a whole nother level. They provide “Cranes” with an overall more uplifting feel.

Release Info:
Exploring different sounds is truly crucial for us as a label. While many in the industry try to specialize on one certain sound, we want to break the tunnel vision and show the world great variation of music, while maintaining the most important ingredient, that truly embodies the sound of Nie Wieder Schlafen : Atmosphere. Kotu take you into the deepest realms of organic resonances, with the focus on mesmerizing percussions and tribal drum patterns. The original tracks are complemented by a remix from Kincaid & Sinàl, who recently joined the family. 

„Skoura“ is a percussion focused production, that is based around a minimal, but strong groove. Screams & giggles of hyenahs are present throughout the track and help transport you to a distant land. Organic drum arrangements keep up the dynamics in this minimalistic track, which slowly evolves into a hypnotic ride, pulling you in with its details. 

While the vibe remains, the dynamics change quite drastically in „Makalu“. A production led by a variety of interesting leads including a lovely vocal sample, harmonic pads & a rather striking bassline that achieves to create a sound of the wild. Kotu builds on the minimalistic drum groove of Skoura with beautiful ethereal elements only to hit you with clear drum drops, that will melt together with the natural atmosphere of this track. 

At last, we invited Kincaid & Sinàl to create a track, that truly pushes the boundaries of what can be achieved in electronic music : 

The guys were able to rework the Original in a way that is not only fascinating, but utterly unique. Not a single part of the remix seems the same, as the track is continiously progressing and changing. It feels as if you are never in one place for too long. From dark basslines, to mysterious & intimate sections, up to high pitched synths work...this remix has it all. A true trip, created with passion & professionel craft, through its entire runtime. It is absolutely not surprising that the productions of these guys are supported all over the world – A true honour to have them with us. As always please go have fun with these pieces of art!
