a series of whoops at 1:03 am on 11/09/18 West of Macy NE. They are drowned out by what I assume are migratory birds, who are pretty noisy for 1 am. I suspect the birds were in a nearby field. This clip is unedited, being presented exactly as recorded.

I don't usually share knocks and stick breaks, but thought this series of knocks was interesting. They happened between 1:20 and 1:58 am on 04/01/21 near Macy NE. The silent parts are where long periods of inactivity were clipped out. Everything was amplified by +10 dB.

The knock preceded the whoop/howl by about 51 seconds. The 1 second of silence in between, correlates with the 51 seconds that were removed.
The first pass is exactly how it was recorded on a calm night, The 2nd pass is amplified by +20 db so you can hear it better. This was recorded at 2:58-2:59 on April 13, 2021 in woods along the Missouri River, in Nebraska.

217am scream on 04/26/21 in Nebraska woods. This recorder was on but poorly placed, under the front car seat. The low frequency vehicle noise was removed and the 'scream' sound was amplified by +35 db.

Vocalizations recorded on 10/22/21 at 8:11 pm along the Missouri River. There was no indication of any people coming into the area beforehand. These sounds took place over 1.5 minutes. The silence in between the sounds is where non-activity audio was removed, to shorten the clip. This is amplified at +15 db. No other editing has occurred.

Recorded in Nebraska woods on 04/15/22 at 2:!3 am. It's difficult to sort out what is happening, but there are definite bipedal footsteps. It sounds like something with big flat feet running in the dark. I also think there is splashing sounds as if something was in the water. The recorder was about 100 feet from the Missouri River.

I don't know what made these grunts recorded in Nebraska near the Missouri River. This series of sounds occurred between 3:00 and 3:30 am on 06/24/22. The original clip was amplified by 20dB. The silent portions of this clips are where several minutes of no activity was clipped out.

7 knocks and a tree fall recorded between 06/22/22 and 06/27/22 in Nebraska. All were amplified by 15 dB. The sounds in order happened on 06/22 at 12:38, 1:49, & 2:05 am, on 06/25 at 12:04, 1:10, 1:27, & 2:!1 am, and on 06/27 at 3:43am.

Knock occurs after a car drive by with loud stereo. This was in the woods on the Omaha Reservation (Nebraska) at 11:01 PM on October 9th, 2023. The knock at the end is amplified by 15 dB.

Recorded in a private area West of town on Feb 08, 2019 at 8:51 pm. Could be a coyote but it's an odd sound and by itself. It sets off the local dogs.

I don't know what this is, but it was recorded at 3:03 am on 04/28/19 North of town. There is a dog at this location that seemingly didn't make a peep. Maybe the dog was doing something near the recorder, I don't know. You do hear a car go by. This clip is amplified by 24 dB and some low frequency filtering was done to trim down noise.
